MANSFIELD, Mass. – Southern New Hampshire's AJ Cavotta earned Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Year honors for men's golf, highlighting the league's announcement of All-Conference awards on Thursday afternoon.

Cavotta is the first SNHU golfer since Matt Paradis in 2019 and the seventh Penmen overall to earn Player of the Year status. Joining Cavotta among major award winners is American International's Li Su, the NE10 Rookie of the Year, and SNHU's Matt Arvanitis, the NE10 Coach of the Year.

Seven NE10 men's golf institutions had at least one player earn All-Conference honors, including a league-high four from SNHU. Five programs had multiple All-Conference selections, including Le Moyne - which ranked second among all NE10 teams with three players recognized.

Cavotta finished fourth at the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional at the Ravenwood Golf Club (Victor, N.Y.) - the best among all NE10 golfers - with a +1 (217) in three rounds and advanced to the NCAA Championship field. He was also an NE10 All-Championship Team member after tying for third (+5, 145) at the Concord Country Club in Concord, N.H. Cavotta was named First Team All-Conference.

Su had a strong freshman campaign, which included him representing AIC and the NE10 at the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional while competing as an individual. He tied for 24th among the Regional's best golfers, shooting a +7 (223) over three rounds. Su also tied for 24th at the NE10 Championship with a +13 (153). He becomes the first AIC golfer to win Rookie of the Year since Colin Dansereau in 2009-10.

Arvanitis wins NE10 Coach of the Year in men's golf for the second time in his career. The Penmen earned the top seed in the East Region and finished in fifth place of the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional - the best among NE10 programs and coming up just short of advancing to the NCAA Championship. It was the eighth-straight trip to the Regional for SNHU - all under Arvanitis. He oversaw the success of Cavotta this season - as well as Matt Conti (First Team), Jack Pepin (Second Team) and Jeff Liss (Third Team).
