SNHU with League-High Three Golfers Honored.
MANSFIELD, Mass. – Five men's golfers from the Northeast-10 Conference have been honored as PING All-Region honorees, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Monday. Southern New Hampshire had a league-best three golfers recognized for their performance this past spring.
AJ Cavotta, Matt Conti and Jack Pepin represented SNHU among the East Region's 12 honorees. Cavotta, a member of the NE10 All-Championship Team this past fall, recently advanced to the NCAA National Championship after tying for fourth at the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional in Victor, N.Y. The NCAA Championship began on Monday (May 16) and runs until Friday, May 20, at TPC Michigan in Detroit, Mich.
Conti was a two-time NE10 Player of the Week during the 2021-22 season, while Pepin earned Rookie of the Week on four occasions.
Le Moyne's Tyler Birdd and Nicholas Bove were also named PING All-Region. Birdd was a member of the NE10 All-Championship Team after carding a two-day score of +5 (145) at the Concord Country Club in October. Bove finished tied for eighth at the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional two weekends ago.
In addition to its All-Region recognition, the Conference produced six teams and one individual to compete at the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional this season. SNHU finished two shots back from a top-four spot, while Le Moyne placed 12th as a team.
