Jocelyn Nye, 15, is a Native of Hudson, N.H.
MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Southern New Hampshire University softball team has officially signed Jocelyn Nye of Hudson, N.H. to the program after being matched through Team IMPACT.
Jocelyn, who just turned 15, lives with her mom Stephanie in Hudson, New Hampshire. Jocelyn was diagnosed with epilepsy at about four months of age and in addition is immunocompromised. Although her medical journey has been complicated, Jocelyn plays baseball and is a cheerleader as well! Both Jocelyn and the student athletes at SNHU are excited to connect. She describes herself as compassionate, and if she had one superpower, it would be to help everyone in the world who needs help.
Normally held in person with the media in attendance, Joceyln's Draft Day was held virtually on Zoom, due to COVID-19 and social distancing measures.
Team IMPACT is a non-profit organization that improves the quality of life for children facing life-threatening and chronic illnesses by matching them with collegiate athletic teams. Jocelyn becomes the 12th current member of the SNHU family through Team IMPACT, as well as its 15th all-time letterwinner since 2012.
