NE10 Player of the Week
Sara Buscetto, Southern Conn. St.
Senior | IF | Waterford, Conn.
Buscetto started all four games and strung together some strong performances helping the Owls to a 3-1 record in NE10 play against Le Moyne. In the lead off spot, Buscetto finished the weekend batting .462 with a .500 on-base percentage while slugging .692. She notched her first home run of the season, six RBI, four runs scored and a pair of walks. In addition, she was a thief on the base paths, swiping eight stolen bases in as many attempts.
NE10 Pitcher of the Week
Cyrena Zemaitis, Franklin Pierce

Cyrena Zemaitis appeared in two games for the Ravens including one start. She went 2-0 in the circle with a 0.64 ERA and 24 strikeouts (15.27 K/7) in 11 innings. In the season opener at Saint Michael's, Zemaitis pitched a six-inning no-hitter while matching the program single-game strikeout mark with 14 in an 8-0 victory. On Sunday, Zemaitis came on in relief tossing five innings, scattering three hits and punching out 10 batters. The double-digit strikeout performances were her 11th and 12th in her career and she leads the NE10 with 24 strikeouts.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Morgan Tuscano, Southern Conn. St.
So. | CF/IF | Wallingford, Conn.
Tuscano was impressive for the Owls in two games against Le Moyne, batting .750 and scoring one run with six hits. She went 3-for-4 in her first appearance of the weekend with two RBI. In her second appearance, she also went 3-for-4 including a double in SCSU's 8-4 victory to close out the weekend.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Ally Muller, Adelphi (Sr., P, Hopewell Junction, N.Y.)
Ally threw a complete game against Pace on Sunday (Mar. 21), allowing one hit and striking out eight batters. Muller also threw eight strike outs in Adelphi's loss on Saturday (Mar. 20), making 16 on the week. She only allowed four runs over 13 innings pitched.
Emily Whitman, Adelphi (Jr., Util, Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.)
Whitman batted .462 with a .588 on base percentage to help Adelphi win 3 of 4 against Pace this weekend. She went 4-for-7 on Sunday (Mar. 21) against Pace with two doubles, five runs scored and six stolen bases in the sweep. She added two hits in a win on Saturday as well and added another steal to give her seven on the weekend along with four walks.
Ari Rodriguez, Franklin Pierce (So., OF, Clinton, Mass.)
Ari Rodriguez appeared in all four games for the Ravens this past week leading her team to a 3-1 record against Saint Michael's. Rodriguez hit .500 (5-for-10) with three runs scored, three steals, two doubles, and an RBI. In the Ravens 8-0 win on Saturday, Rodriguez was a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate with two runs scored, an RBI single and a theft. On Sunday in the 3-1 Raven win, Rodriguez stole two bases and ripped an RBI two-bagger scoring once as well.
Ava Fitzmaurice, New Haven (Jr., P, Greenville, N.Y.)
Fitzmaurice threw a seven inning complete game shutout for her second victory of the season, keeping No. 17 Saint Anselm from crossing the plate as the Chargers took a 3-0 victory in game two of a Sunday afternoon doubleheader. Overall in the circle, she surrendered just five hits while her defense backed her up with three double plays, two ground outs and a line out. She also finished that game with one hit in three at bats, while adding a stolen base to her credit in the days opening game.
Morgan Perry, Saint Anselm (Sr., P, Bethany, Conn.)
Playing in the program's first game in 378 days, Morgan Perry tossed a no-hitter in the Hawks 2-0 season-opening victory over the University of New Haven on Sunday. The no-hitter marked Perry's second as she struck out 16 batters and faced one batter over the minimum to tie the program's single-game strikeout record. Currently, Perry is 33-1 since Mar. 9, 2019 when the Hawks defeated Ferris State, 1-0.
Erin Thompson, Saint Anselm (Sr. OF, Newton, N.H.)
Thompson played a crucial part of the Hawks offense in the Hawks 2-0 shutout victory over New Haven on Sunday. She went 3-for-4 with a run batted in, recording a .750 batting average in the first game. She finished the day going 3-for-7 overall.
Savanna Liverio-Tyler, Saint Rose (Sr., IF, Schenectady, N.Y.)
Liverio-Tyler slashed .500/.563/.857 with five doubles and two RBI across four games last weekend. The senior went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and two RBI in Saturday's 5-1 NE10 win at American International. She was 3-for-4 with two more doubles in Sunday's 2-1 NE10 victory at AIC. She currently leads the conference in both doubles and slugging percentage.
Jazmyn Martinez, Southern Conn. (Sr., P/Util, Middletown, N.Y.)
Martinez earned wins in both of her appearances this weekend against NE10 opponent Le Moyne. She allowed just two runs and retired five batters in her first complete game victory. In her second appearance, she pitched 5.2 innings and struck out five batters. In addition, Martinez chipped in three putouts and four assists in the field through two games.
