NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Lauren O'Neill, Adelphi (Sr., OF, Stamford, Conn.)
O'Neill started both games for the Panthers last week, batting .625 overall and scoring three runs with five hits. The senior went 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI in a season-opening win over Felician. She followed it up by going 2-for-3 in the second game of the doubleheader to lead Adelphi to a 8-0 shutout in five innings.
Kacie Allison, American International (Sr., 1B/P, Woodburne, N.Y.)
Allison dominated in every aspect of the game in a series with Stonehill to open the 2021 season. She went 4-for-6 in the two game set, driving in three runs in both games. Her two-run single in the fifth inning of game one was the deciding margin, and her three-run home run in the sixth inning of game two tied that contest 3-3. Additionally, she pitched the last two frames of the first game, allowing just one hit as she earned the save.
Alexis Jimenez, American International (So., P/UT, Claremont, Calif.)
Jimenez was effective at every position in AIC's split with Stonehill in the season opening series for the Yellow Jackets. She allowed just two earned runs over five strong innings of pitching, helping her own cause with a 3-run double in the first inning. She added two more hits in the second game to bat .429 on the weekend.
Mia Iodice, New Haven (Jr., P, Rehoboth, Mass.)
One of two junior hurlers for the Blue and Gold, Iodice threw a complete game one-run gem in the season debut against Stonehill. The junior finished the day with three hits in four at bats and a pair of walks but also couldn't stand still on the base paths, swiping five bases in as many attempts. Among her three hits was a double as she closed out the day with a .750 batting average.
