NE10 Player of the Week
Mia Klammer, Saint Rose
Junior | F | Mahopac, N.Y.
Klammer scored a goal in each of the No. 11 Golden Knights' first two contests this season. She netted the opening score in Tuesday's 2-0 win at Georgian Court before striking again at Jefferson over the weekend. Klammer was also credited with an assist in Saturday's 3-2 triumph over the Rams.
NE10 Defensive Player of the Week
Mikayla Thompson, Southern New Hampshire
Junior | Midfield | Milford, N.H.
Thompson played a big role, defensively, in holding opponents to just 17 shots and one goal in a 2-0 week for SNHU. After the Penmen opened the season with a 1-0 win over Bridgeport on Friday, Thompson staked her team to a 1-0 lead in the 22nd with her first career goal and then helped shut down Mercy, limiting them to only six shots, in Sunday's 4-1 victory.
NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week
Claudia Keith, Southern New Hampshire
Sophomore | Goalkeeper | Danvers, Mass.
Keith stopped nine of the 10 shots she faced during a 2-0 week for the Penmen against a pair of opponents receiving votes in the national poll. In her second career start, Keith notched a seven-save shutout against Bridgeport on Friday. She then made a pair of saves Sunday, nearly recording her second clean sheet before yielding a goal in the 85th minute of an eventual 4-1 victory.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Liv Gantelius, Southern New Hampshire
Freshman | Forward | Lidingoe, Sweden
Gantelius scored twice Sunday in SNHU's 4-1 win over Mercy, which is receiving votes in the national poll. Gantelius made it 2-0 in the 30th minute and struck again to extend the lead to 4-0 in the 79th minute.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Madison Apicella, Adelphi (So., M/F - Holbrook, N.Y.)
The reigning NE10 Player and Rookie of the Year picked up where she left off with scoring the eventual game-winner in the 22nd minute in an early-statement 1-0 win over Molloy. Apicella, who took three games to get her first goal in 2022, is already on the board two games in.
Morgan Salmon, Adelphi (Sr., D - West Hempstead, N.Y.)
As the team's key central back, Salmon kept perennial ECC favorite Molloy off the board for ninety minutes on Saturday. She also took a majority of the team's 13 corners in the match and delivered the assist on the game-winner against the Lions.
Hannah Storozuk, American Int'l (Gr., F - Tolland, Conn.)
Storozuk played a huge role in AIC's 2-0-0 start, with points in both wins. She scored against D'Youville in the season opener, and then set up AIC's opening tally in the win over Daemen.
Claire Ewen, Bentley (Jr., GK - Arlington, Mass.)
Ewen had a 0.67 GAA and .833 save percentage in 135 minutes of action in Bentley's first two games of the season. She made 4 saves in a 1-1 tie with Molloy. Ewen then helped the Falcons post a clean sheet in a 1-0 victory over Wilmington (Del.) on Saturday.
Jenni Huttunen, Franklin Pierce (Fr., M - Suomi, Finland)
Huttunen scored two goals in a 1-0-1 week for Franklin Pierce, including a goal in a 3-0 win over Queens (NY). Her first goal of the season came in a 1-1 tie against Mercy.
Andrea Flores, Pace (So., M - Port Chester, N.Y.)
Flores was spectacular in a 2-0 week for Pace, scoring two goals - one in each contest and both game winners - in victories over Caldwell and Post.
Alexis Lee, Pace (So., M - Staten Island, N.Y.)
As part of a 2-0 week for Pace, Lee scored a goal in a 2-1 win over Caldwell and notched an assist in a 2-0 win over Post, while anchoring a backline that allowed only 0.5 goals per game - including a shutout victory.
Sam Page, St. Michael's (Sr., B - Merrimack, N.H.)
Page anchored a defense that yielded one goal during a 1-0-1 week. In a scoreless draw at Staten Island on Thursday, Page played all 90 minutes while helping the Purple Knights allow just nine shots, with only two reaching the net. In a 4-1 victory at Dominican on Saturday, Page appeared for 57 minutes, as the Chargers were held scoreless until the 73rd minute.
Alyssa Anderson, Southern N.H. (Sr., F/M - Londonderry, N.H.)
Anderson registered four points on a pair of goals during a 2-0 week for SNHU. Anderson scored the lone goal in the 57th minute of Friday's 1-0 blanking of Bridgeport and then found the back of the net again in the 55th minute of Sunday's eventual 4-1 victory over Mercy. Both opponents were receiving votes, nationally.
