NE10 Player of the Week
Madison Apicella, Adelphi
Sophomore | Midfield/Forward | Holbrook, N.Y.
One of the NE10's leading point-getters, Apicella played a role in both games to help extend Adelphi's winning streak to six after a 2-0 week. She scored two first-half goals that paced the Panther offense in a 3-0 shutout at New Haven. She also assisted on the eventual winning first-half goal at Saint Michael's.
NE10 Defensive Player of the Week
Ryleigh Hopeck, Saint Rose
Junior | Defense | Mechanicville, N.Y.
Hopeck scored the game-winning goal with 9:14 remaining in the second half to give No. 2 Saint Rose a 2-1 victory over Southern Connecticut State on Saturday. Her defensive efforts also helped the Golden Knights' in Tuesday's 2-0 shutout against Saint Michael's.
NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week
Claire Ewen, Bentley
Junior | Goalkeeper | Arlington, Mass.
Ewen had two shutouts in a 1-0-1 week for Bentley. She made seven saves and stopped a penalty kick in the second half in a 0-0 draw at Assumption. Ewen then made three saves as she helped the Falcons to a 2-0 victory at New Haven.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Maggie Warner, Saint Anselm
Freshman | Goalkeeper | Saugus, Mass.
Warner registered her third shutout of the season last Tuesday keeping No. 20 nationally ranked Franklin Pierce off the scoresheet. Warner made four saves in the match to help lift Saint Anselm to a 1-0 victory over the Ravens, improving to a 2-0 record in conference play.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Krista Aliscio, Adelphi (Gr., GK - Hauppauge, N.Y.)
Nearly had two clean sheets in a 2-0 week for Adelphi. In a game that saw nineteen shots on goal between the two teams, Aliscio made a season-high seven saves in a 3-1 victory at Saint Michael's. She posted a 0.50 goals-against average and .900 save percentage in two starts.
Charlotte Bernard, American Int'l (Jr., F - Quebec City, Quebec)
In AIC's lone game of the week, Bernard carried the AIC offense. She tallied the game's opening goal, and then set up what proved to be the winning strike as AIC earned a 3-1 win at Pace.
Ashley Wenzel, Assumption (Jr., F - Kensington, Conn.)
Wenzel recorded one goal and added one assist in Assumption's 4-4 tie with No. 16 SNHU.
Jillian Hendriksen, Bentley (Jr., B/M - Pembroke, Mass.)
Hendriksen helped Bentley record two shutouts in a 1-0-1 week, with both matches on the road. She scored on a header off a corner kick in Saturday's 2-0 victory over New Haven in the 29th minute.
Josie Pecor, Saint Anselm (Jr., F - Williston, Vt.)
Pecor notched the deciding goal against No.20 nationally ranked Franklin Pierce University on Tuesday to secure the 1-0 victory for the Hawks. This marks Pecor's second game-winner on the season as she now leads the team with three goals and is tied for seventh in the conference.
Elina Seppala, Saint Rose (Sr., M - Jyväskylä, Finland)
Seppala scored in the second half in both of the No. 2 Golden Knights' victories this past week, with her 65th minute strike against Saint Michael's on Tuesday night serving as the game-winner for Saint Rose.
