NE10 Offensive Player of the Week

Anthony Brown, Saint Anselm
Senior | Wide Receiver | Belton, Texas

Brown was a key player for Saint Anselm during Saturday's 13-9 win over the Chargers. He posted a career-high two rushing touchdowns for the Hawks ending the day with 20 yards on five rush attempts. Brown also reeled in the longest reception of the game at 63 yards, the second-longest in his career. Brown came up clutch for Saint Anselm on fourth down and inches in the final two minutes of the game after taking a direct snap out and picking up the first down to seal the victory for the Hawks.

NE10 Defensive Player of the Week

Salvatore Lupoli, Jr., Bentley
Graduate | Linebacker | Chelmsford, Mass.

Lupoli had 17 tackles and 1.5 sacks in Bentley's 27-9 win over Pace. The graduate student linebacker also added two tackles for a loss and a QB hurry.

NE10 Special Teams Player of the Week

Jaron Wilson, Assumption
Junior | Defensive Back | Olney, Md.

Wilson blocked a 30-yard field goal attempt in the third quarter of Assumption's 21-17 win at Franklin Pierce on Sunday. This increased the Greyhounds total to six blocked kicks this year, which is tied for fourth most in Division II this year. Wilson also added four tackles, one pass breakup, one sack, and two tackles for loss in the road win.

NE10 Rookie of the Week

Joziah Gonzalez, Franklin Pierce
Freshman | Wide Receiver | Meriden, Conn.

The Ravens played a highly competitive game against the 2022 Northeast-10 Champions on Saturday. Gonzalez stepped up catching 6 passes for 158 yards (26.3 average), helping move the ball down the field for Franklin Pierce in a 21-17 loss to No. 21 Assumption.

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Shawn Belle, American Int'l (Jr., LB - Jersey City, N.J.)
Belle was a force on defense for the Yellow Jackets in a 27-21 win at Southern Connecticut, leading the team with nine tackles, a third-down sack, and an interception that occurred with the Owls having the ball on the AIC 4-yard line.

Sidiki Kone, American Int'l (Jr., RB - Bronx, N.Y.)
Kone had a great game at Southern Connecticut State, helping AIC to a win with 22 carries for 92 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Owen Fitzgerald, Assumption (So., LB - Auburn, Mass.)
Fitzgerald had a game-high seven tackles in Assumption's 21-17 win at Franklin Pierce on Saturday. Six of his seven tackles were solo; there was one tackle for a loss and one sack. His interception in the third quarter set up the go-ahead touchdown by the Greyhounds.

Mark Waid, Bentley (Gr., QB - Cortland, Ohio)
Waid had 249 yards passing and rushing in Bentley's 27-9 victory over Pace. He was 16-28 through the air with 1 TD and had 79 yards on 19 carries with a TD.

Joe Vitale, New Haven (Sr., LB - North Haven, Conn.)
Vitale led the Chargers' defense against Saint Anselm, tied for the team lead with nine total tackles, with one of those going as a sack, while adding a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

Nasir Robinson, Pace (So., RB - Penns Grove, N.J.)
Robinson continued his strong season on the ground, rushing for a career best 176 yards against Bentley while scoring a touchdown for the Setters.

Austin Spille, Saint Anselm (Jr., DL - Austin, Texas)
Spille had an impressive defensive performance for the Hawks to help secure a 13-9 victory over New Haven on the road. He ended the game with seven total tackles, two solo and five assisted, to match his career-high. Near the end of the fourth quarter, Spille forced a fumble, his third of the year, to give Saint Anselm back critical minutes on the ball and ultimately help seal the win.

Joenel Figueroa, Southern Conn. St. (So., DB - Methuen, Mass.)
Against AIC, Figueroa had a team-high seven tackles, including five solo, and a crucial interception in the Owls' end zone in the fourth quarter as the Yellow Jackets tried to distance themselves further.

Tylon Papallo, Southern Conn. St. (Sr., WR - Meriden, Conn.)
Against AIC, Papallo posted five catches for 128 yards and two touchdowns. Both of Papallo's touchdowns against the Yellow Jackets came on 50+ yards plays, with the first one for 56 yards giving the Owls a 7-0 lead before his second touchdown, for 51 yards, made the score 21-14.
