Five NE10 Players Selected to D2CCA Football All-Super Region 1 Team

Bentley's Tajon Vassar Earns Two All-Region Selections.


MANSFIELD, Mass. – Northeast-10 Conference football programs earned five selections in the recently announced Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-Super Region 1 Team, as Bentley had a league-high two players earn First Team recognition. 

Bentley's Salvatore Lupoli Jr., the NE10 Most Valuable Player, and Tajon Vassar both earned First Team honors on defense, in addition to New Haven's Giye Jenkins - the NE10 Defensive Player of the Year. Assumption's Tom MacDonald, the NE10 Offensive Lineman of the Year, was a First Team selection on offense. 

New Haven's Dev Holmes, the NE10 Offensive Player of the Year, was a Second Team choice at wide receiver, while Vassar was a repeat choice on the Second Team as a return specialist. Overall, three different programs from the NE10 were represented on the D2CCA All-Super Region 1 Team. 

All five players were named to the NE10 All-Conference First Team, while four of them earned major award for their outstanding performances during the 2023 season.

The D2CCA encourages and promotes DII athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education. The CCA is a communications link among the conferences as they discuss views, policies and regulations that impact DII intercollegiate athletics and works closely with the NCAA as a communications channel to NCAA DII member colleges and universities.
