NE10 Player of the Week
Amanda Lewandowski, Saint Anselm
Junior l Forward l Franklin, Mass.
Lewandowski had an outstanding week for the Hawks, who picked up two NE10 wins in improving to 7-2 in conference play. She notched her first career hat trick against Saint Michael's on Wednesday, now second most on the team, as well as an assist on Saturday's 4-1 victory over New Haven. Additionally, she recorded a career-high in shots (10) and points (6) in the 4-0 win over the Purple Knights.
NE10 Defensive Player of the Week
Caroline O'Connell, Assumption
Senior | Midfield | Natick, Mass.
O'Connell continued to headline the top defense in the Northeast-10 Conference after allowing just one goal in two games this past week. Against Franklin Pierce on Tuesday, she recorded a defensive save before helping secure the team's seventh shutout of the year.
NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week
Paige Gillette, Assumption
Junior | Goalkeeper | Andover, Mass.
Gillette logged her eighth and ninth win of the year, as she made two saves against Franklin Pierce in a 6-1 win before recording four against Bentley for her seventh shutout of the year. Gillette leads the Northeast-10 Conference in wins (9), shutouts (7), conference goals-against average (0.22), and conference save percentage (0.917).
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Carlijn De Groot, St. Thomas Aquinas
Freshman | Goalkeeper | Eindhoven, The Netherlands
De Groot helped lead the Spartans to consecutive wins last week with stellar play in net. The freshman goalie stopped 16 of 18 total shots faced, only allowing one goal in each of the matches she started.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Amanda Lee, Adelphi (Jr., M - Stony Brook, N.Y.)
Lee scored two goals in less than a minute and notched an assist in the Panthers' win vs. Southern Connecticut State on Friday. The junior also assisted on Kylie Peregoy's overtime game-winning goal vs. American International earlier in the week on Tuesday.
Jillian Riche, Adelphi (Jr., F - Riverdale, NJ)
Riche tallied a hat trick in Adelphi's 6-4 win vs. Southern Connecticut State on Friday, proving to be the difference in a big conference win. Her scoring included a penalty stroke in the third quarter. Jillian's hat trick is the first by a Panther all season.
Taylor Wildes, American International College (Gr., GK - Biddeford, Maine)
Wildes had another strong week for the Yellow Jackets, making a total of 23 saves across two games including a season-high 20 stops as she led AIC to overtime against Adelphi.
May van Woudenberg, Assumption (Fr., M - Oosterbeek, The Netherlands)
van Woudenberg recorded a goal in each of the games this week, as Assumption pushed their winning streak to nine games. She scored a goal on three shots against Franklin Pierce, before netting the game-winner against Bentley on Saturday.
Lily Daly, Assumption (Sr., F - Foxborough, Mass.)
Daly continued her hot stretch in NE10 action, extending her point streak to eight games. In two home wins for the Greyhounds this past week, she logged both a goal and an assist as Assumption improved to nine-straight wins and 9-0 in NE10 action.
Mackenzie McConnell, Saint Anselm (Sr., GK - Concord Twp, Maine)
McConnell helped Saint Anselm improve to a 7-2 NE10 record after posting two conference victories this week. She recorded three saves against Saint Michael's on Wednesday to keep the Purple Knights off the scoresheet in the 4-0 victory. McConnell also didn't allow any goals after playing over 50 minutes in net for the Hawks on Senior Day.
Adriana Alfisi, St. Thomas Aquinas (Sr., F - Norwalk, Conn.)
Alfisi tallied two goals and an assist over two matches last week for STAC, and is now tied for the team lead in goals (8) with teammate Nicola Van Vuuren
Tori Geaglone, Southern Connecticut State (5th, M - Enfield, Conn.)
In two close games, Owls fifth-year standout Tori Geaglone led the team with three goals and an assist for seven points. Against St. Thomas Aquinas, she scored the Owls only goal in a 3-1 loss. Against Adelphi, she had two goals and an assist in a 6-4 loss. For the year, Geaglone leads the Owls in goals (12), assists (5) and points (29) and has scored a goal in six-straight games.
Emma Peeters, Southern New Hampshire (So., GK - Wageningen, The Netherlands)
In two starts, both wins, sophomore goalie Emma Peeters allowed only one goal. She made six saves. The Penmen won, 2-1, at Bentley and then shutout Molloy on Saturday. For the season, Peeters has a 1.78 GAA.
Minke van de Poll, Southern New Hampshire (Fr., M - Oosterbeek, Netherlands)
Freshman Minke van de Poll set a modern-day program record with nine points in Saturday's win over Molloy. van de Poll scored four goals and added an assist against the Lions. Her ten goals on the season are tops on the Penmen, and tied for third in the Northeast-10.
