NE10 Field Hockey All-Conference

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Pace junior forward Krista Dietz has been named the Northeast-10 field hockey Player of the Year, the first Setter to claim the award in league history.  Pace also led all NE10 teams by placing eight on the league's four all-conference teams.

Dietz is joined by Bentley's Mia Trottie as Goalkeeper of the Year, Saint Anselm's Grace Michael as Defensive Player of the Year, Southern New Hampshire's Minke van de Poll as Rookie of the Year and Assumption's Annie Lahey as Coach of the Year.

Dietz compiled one of the NCAA's most impressive offensive seasons.  Her 3.38 points per game ranked 9th in all of NCAA field hockey -- far and away the best in DII -- and her five goals and 11 points against AIC were both single game highs across Division II.

It's the second time Dietz eclipsed the 20-goal plateau in a season, the first being her 2021 Rookie of the Year season.  The New York native becomes the fifth former NE10 Rookie of the Year to later win Player of the Year.

As for Trottie, the Bentley keeper led Division II in save percentage while also pitching six shutouts this fall.  She is the third Falcon netminder to claim the league's top honor and first since Alyssa Sliney in 2009.

While Trottie quarterbacked the NE10's top defense, Grace Michael led the next stiffest front for Saint Anselm.  The junior started every game for a defense that allowed seven goals over its final seven games and appeared in the Top 10 rankings all season.  Michael is the fourth Hawk in the last seven seasons to win Defensive Player of the Year.

Van de Poll's Rookie of the Year honor makes it back-to-back years a Dutch national has been named the NE10's top newcomer.  Last year, STAC's Jasmijn Van Drunen came from the world's field hockey hub to win Rookie of Year.  Van de Poll most turned heads this fall with a four-goal performance against ranked Saint Anselm, helping SNHU knock off their rival for the first time in program history.

Assumption coach Annie Lahey was named Coach of the Year for the third time in her career after the Greyhounds claimed the conference regular season title with a 12-1 record.

The NE10 field hockey championship begins with quarterfinal rounds on campus sites on Tuesday, October 31st.  For the full tournament schedule, bracket and all other championship information, click HERE
