Dietz Named NFHCA East Region Player of the Year

Dietz 2023 Region POY

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

GENEVA, N.Y. — Krista Dietz from Pace University and Jady van Gils from East Stroudsburg University were selected to represent their respective region as the NFHCA Division II Regional Player of the Year. Each regional award winner is now in the running for NFHCA Division II National Player of the Year honors.

Dietz is the first Pace Setter to win East Region Player of the Year since the honor began being awarded in 2014.   Prior to that, honors were handed out to North and South Region Players of the Year.  This marks the fifth consecutive season a student-athlete from a different NE10 school has been honored.

The award continues gilding a 2023 season that saw Dietz also win NE10 Player of the Year while being named to the NE10 First Team and leading the nation in goals (24), assists (14) and points (62).  Dietz is Pace's all-time record holder for career points.

The NFHCA National Player of the Year will be announced on December 15th.  The last NE10 Player to capture that top national honor was Stonehill's Kacie Smith in 2018.
