Lahey and Staff Wins Third Straight Regional Honor
MANSFIELD, Mass. - The Assumption coaching staff was named the National Field Hockey Coaches Association East Region Coaching Staff of the Year.
Head coach Annie Lahey and her staff earn the honor for the third consecutive season after a 16-7 (12-1 NE10) record, NE10 Championship Runner-Up season and third consecutive NCAA Semifinal appearance.
Lahey, who was recognized as the NE10 Coach of the Year, and the Greyhounds worked in the postseason to help Assumption win its second-ever NCAA Tournament game over Saint Anselm.
The 12 conference wins and .923 winning percentage are second in program history, only behind their NE10 unbeaten season back in 2021. Coach Lahey took over a program that won zero games in 2012, and one game in 2013, and has now won 151 games as a program in the NE10 (95 under coach Lahey).
The NFHCA will announce the 2023 National Coaching Staff of the Year on Thursday, January 11.
