SOUTH EASTON, Mass. – Six Northeast-10 Conference student-athletes have been recognized on the 2012-13 Capital One Academic All-District Basketball Teams, which were announced by CoSIDA last week. The honorees are recognized as some of the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.

The three men to receive recognition are American International College junior Janek Schmidkunz, Assumption College grad student Kevin Donahue and The College of Saint Rose junior Dominykas Milka.

Three women were also honored, including Bentley University junior Lauren Battista and a pair of seniors from Saint Michael's College in Nicole Adach and Megan Olsen

Saint Rose's Milka is an Accounting major with a 3.57 GPA and is averaging a double-double this season for the Golden Knights. His 17.5 points per contest leads the team, while his 11.9 per game rebounding rate is tops in the nation. Milka has totaled 13 double-doubles through 20 games this season.

Battista, the reigning Northeast-10 Player of the Year, owns a 3.94 GPA as a Marketing/Liberal Studies major at Bentley. She is averaging a team-leading 14.6 points along with 6.8 rebounds for the No. 2 ranked and undefeated Falcons.

Adach has a 3.50 GPA as a Psychology major, and Olsen has a 3.98 GPA as an Economics/Psychology major. Adach (15.4 ppg) and Olsen (13.7) are also the leading scorers for the Purple Knights this season, while Adach is also second on the team in rebounding (6.1).
