NE10 Player of the Week

Kacie Banks, New Haven
Junior | Marietta, Ga.

Banks was one of three Chargers to sweep both of their matches in a season-finale win over Holy Cross last week. The junior began the day with a shutout performance in doubles action where she was partnered with classmate Alexa Orlando. She followed that up with a fourth singles win which came in a tiebreaker. She opened up the match with a 7-5 win over her opponent before the match was evened up and she went on to take a 10-8 tiebreaker for the victory.

NE10 Rookie of the Week

Karim Carreras, New Haven
Freshman | Asuncion, Paraguay

Carreras was one of three Chargers to take a pair of victories in a season-finale win over visiting Holy Cross. Both of her wins came in the No.1 position, starting out at first singles with senior partner Lilia Rodriguez. She then posted a straight-set win at first singles with a 6-1, 7-5 decision over her opponent.

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Barbie Quagliardi, Adelphi (Sr. - Istanbul, Turkey)
Quagliardi won her singles match against Queens' Nathalie Ulander, 6-2, 6-3, last Thursday at the No. 2 flight. Also prevailed 6-2 at top doubles that kept the team doubles point in limbo.

Anais Geslin, Franklin Pierce (Gr. - Livry-Gargin, France )
In one match this past week versus Babson College, Geslin posted wins in both singles and doubles matchups. In doubles, she was a part of the winning effort in a single set, silencing the opponent by a shutout score of 8-0. For the singles half, Geslin finished in two sets with final scores of 6-1 and 6-4 respectively, extending her singles winning streak to three straight matches.
