NE10 Player of the Week

Ugo Nwachukwu, Franklin Pierce
Sophomore l Forward l Imo State, Nigeria

Nwachukwu had a monster game against American International, tallying 37 points on 15-of-18 shooting to go along with 12 rebounds in the team's 87-80 victory. In a 1-1 week for Franklin Pierce, he averaged 25.0 points on 76.9% shooting, along with 7.0 rebounds per game.


NE10 Rookie of the Week

Christian Joe, Southern Connecticut
Freshman | Guard | Queens, N.Y.

Joe had a break-out performance in an 83-69 come-from-behind win against Saint Rose. Joe had his first 20-point game of his career and also dished out seven assists and had two steals. He also hit on 8-of-13 from the floor including 4-of-7 from three-point range. For the week, he averaged 13.5 points and 3.5 assists in 18 minutes per game.


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Kani Glover, Assumption (Gr, G - Brockton, Mass.)
Glover led the way for the Greyhounds in a 1-1 week. On Wednesday, he stuffed the stat sheet with 21 points, eight rebounds, and two assists in Assumption's 69-65 win. At Saint Anselm on Saturday, Glover poured in 16 points.

Zach Laput, Bentley (Sr., G - Beacon Falls, Conn.)
During a 1-1 week, Laput averaged 25 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals while shooting .472 overall, .556 from three and 1.000 from the line (11/11). During a 78-75 win over Saint Anselm, he scored a career-high 32 points (11/19 FG, 3/5 3FG, 7/7 FT) and also had seven rebounds and four steals. Of his 11 field goals, six gave the Falcons the lead. Laput also scored 18 points in a three-point loss at Adelphi.

Josh Morissette, Saint Anselm (So., G - Exeter, N.H.)
Morissette led Saint Anselm in scoring this week with 41 total points along with eight rebounds, two assists, a steal, and a block. He matched his career-high 21 points against Bentley on Wednesday and was the top scorer during Saturday's NE10 win over Assumption. Morissette has scored 110 points so far this season averaging 15.7 points per game which ranks him second-best on the squad.

Darrel Yepdo, Saint Michael's (So., G - Dracut, Mass.)
Yepdo averaged 19.5 points during a 2-0 week for the Purple Knights. He added 4.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.0 steal per contest. In a 63-62 win at regionally-ranked Southern New Hampshire on Wednesday, he netted nine points in a late go-ahead 10-1 run before hitting the deciding free throws at 28.1 seconds while finishing with 13 points (7x9 FT), five assists, three rebounds and a steal. On Saturday, Yepdo scored 20 of his 26 points in the second half of a 66-65 win over No. 19 Pace. He was 9-for-19 from the floor, 6-of-8 at the charity stripe, and added five rebounds, two assists and a steal.

Tristian Jeffries, Saint Rose (Jr., G - Jersey City, N.J.)
Jeffries logged 15 points and six rebounds per game in a 1-1 week for the Golden Knights. The junior shot 50% percent from the floor (10-of-20), including 7-of-12 from deep over the two contests. Jeffries' best play can in Tuesday's win over Franklin Pierce in which he tallied 18 points, nine rebounds, two steals, and one assist.

Josh McGettigan, Southern Conn. St. (Sr., F - Southbury, Conn.)
McGettigan led the Owls in a 2-0 week with back-to-back 20-point efforts against AIC and Saint Rose. Against the Yellow Jackets, McGettigan hit on 8-of-13 from the floor including 3-of-5 from three-point range on his way to a 21-point night while also grabbing seven rebounds and totaling three assists. Against Saint Rose in a come-from-behind win against the Golden Knights, McGettigan had 20 points, seven rebounds and four assists while knocking down four three-pointers. For the week, he averaged 20.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.

Matt Becht, Southern N.H. (Gr., G/F - Vienna, Va.)
Becht recorded 20.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.0 steal per contest, while shooting 46.4 percent (13-28) from the field, including 47.6 percent (10-21) from downtown, and 83.3 percent (5-6) from the line, during a 1-1 week for SNHU. Becht tallied 15 points (5-9 FG, 5-7 3-FG), four rebounds and two steals in a a 63-62 defeat against Saint Michael's on Wednesday, before netting a season-best 26 points (8-19 FG, 5-14 3-FG, 5-6 FT) and grabbing seven rebounds in a 64-58 win at Post on Saturday.
