NE10 Player of the Week

Josh Morissette, Saint Anselm
Sophomore l Guard l Exeter, N.H.

Morissette broke the Saint Anselm and Northeast-10 all-time single-game record after making 12 three-point shots on his way to a career-high 42 points against Franklin Pierce on Tuesday night. His 42 points are tied for the second most in a single game in program history and are the most in a single game since the 2002 season. It also marks just the 45th time in NCAA Division II history that a men's basketball player has knocked down 12 or more three pointers in a single game.


NE10 Rookie of the Week

Jah'Likai King, New Haven
Freshman | Guard | Newburgh, N.Y.

King led the Chargers in their first NE10 win of the season at home over Adelphi. The freshman guard put up 26 points as he shot 452.9 percent from the field (9-of-17) while also going a perfect 7-of-7 at the free throw line. In addition, he added five rebounds, six assists and three steals in the victory.


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Justice Ellison, American Int'l (Jr., G/F - Windsor, Conn.)
Ellison put together another strong week for the Yellow Jackets, pacing the AIC offense. He put in 25 against Assumption to lead AIC to a win on the road, and then led the team at Bridgeport with a 14-point, 13-rebound double-double. Overall he shot 40.5 percent and only had three turnovers despite playing almost every minute both nights.

Zach Laput, Bentley (Sr., G - Beacon Falls, Conn.)
In a road loss to Southern New Hampshire, Laput gave the Falcons 22 points, 11 rebounds, two assists and a steal while playing all 40 minutes. His 9-of-19 shooting included 3-of-8 from deep and he also drew seven fouls.

Jarnel Snow-Guzman, Franklin Pierce (Jr., G - Lynn, Mass.)
Snow-Guzman had a solid week for the Ravens, especially in the team's 87-80 victory over Caldwell. Snow-Guzman tallied 24 points for Franklin Pierce during the win, and tallied 37 total points on the week.

Davontrey Thomas, New Haven (Sr., F - Poughkeepsie, N.Y.)
Thomas had a great night from the field, shooting 63.6 percent on 7-of-11, including a pair of three pointers and going 3-of-3 at the line to finish with 19 points in the Chargers' first conference win of the season, a home triumph over Adelphi. 

Romar Reid, Saint Michael's (Sr., G - Mount Vernon, N.Y.)
Reid averaged 21.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.5 offensive boards, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals during a 2-0 week while shooting 14-for-18 on free throws. In a 78-77 win at Saint Rose on Tuesday, he had 10 points, seven rebounds, three assists and a steal while helping defend the Golden Knights' final inbound pass with a chance to take the lead. Reid scored a career-high 32 points in a 75-62 win at Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday, finishing 9-for-17 from the floor and 13-for-15 on freebies. He added four rebounds, two steals and an assist while scoring 19 points in the second half alone. 

Christian Pierre-Louis, Saint Rose (Fr., G - Plainfield, N.J.)
Pierre-Louis logged a career-high 21 points on 10-of-16 shooting (62.5 percent) in the Golden Knights' lone game last week. The freshman also tallied four rebounds, two steals, one assist, and one block. 

Josh McGettigan, Southern Conn. St. (Sr., F - Southbury, Conn.)
In Southern Connecticut's only game of the week, a 78-66 win against nationally-ranked No. 21 Pace, McGettigan led all scorers with 24 points while also grabbing eight rebounds. McGettigan hit on 7-of-9 from the floor and 2-of-4 from three-point range while also converting eight of his 10 free throw attempts in the Owls' win on the road. McGettigan has posted three-straight 20-point games, all of which the Owls have won. For the year, McGettigan is slashing 52.0/45.1/85.7 while averaging 18.9 points per game.

Matt Becht, Southern N.H. (Gr., G/F - Vienna, Va.)
Becht averaged 15.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.0 steal per game, while hitting 44 percent (11-25) of his shots, including 38.5 percent (5-13) from downtown, and going 3-for-3 from the line. Becht posted 18 points (6-14 FG, 3-7 3-FG, 3-3 FT), five rebounds and an assist in Wednesday's 64-57 win over No. 25 Bentley, before producing 12 points (5-11 FG, 2-6 3-FG), six boards, six assists and a pair of steals in a 69-67 victory at Bloomfield on Saturday.
