NE10 Player of the Week

Kasey Draper, Assumption
Senior l Forward l Roanoke, Va.

Draper averaged 31.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in two games this week. Against Pace, he scored a game-high 16 points while pulling down seven rebounds. On Saturday, Draper went off for a career-high 46 points on 17-for-27 shooting, including 6-for-9 from downtown, which paced the Greyhounds' upset of Saint Michael's, 94-80. The 46-point performance was tied for the third most points scored in a single game in Assumption men's basketball history and the most since Josh Renkens poured in 49 points at Saint Anselm on Jan. 7, 1995.


NE10 Rookie of the Week

Jah'Likai King, New Haven
Freshman | Guard | Newburgh, N.Y.

King led all New Haven scorers across two games last week, putting up 20+ in both games and extending his team high in the scoring column. For the week, King averaged 21 points in games against Southern Connecticut and Saint Anselm. His scoring came on a 47.2 percent average from the field with two three point field goals and going 3-of-4 at the free throw line. Additionally, he added six rebounds, nine assists and seven steals. 


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Andrew Delaney, Adelphi (Gr., F - Mullica Hill, N.J.)
Extending its win streak to eight, Andrew Delaney helped the Panthers by averaging a double-double through two contests with 11.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game. Against Franklin Pierce, the grad student nearly put up a triple-double with 11 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists. His shooting percentage for the week stands just under 50 after going 10-for-21 from the floor. 

Zach Laput, Bentley (Sr., G - Beacon Falls, Conn.)
Laput scored a career-high 35 points and also had 10 rebounds, five assists and five steals during the Falcons' 111-64 win over Franklin Pierce. Overall, in a 1-1 week, he averaged 28.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.5 steals while shooting .600 overall, .500 from three (4/8) and .917 from the line (11/12). In the FPU game, he made 11 of 15 from the field and was perfect on 10 free throw attempts. During the week, Laput climbed from 32nd to 23rd on Bentley's all-time scoring list. 

Tray Alexander, Pace (Sr., G - Freeport, N.Y.)
Against AIC over the weekend, Alexander recorded a 14-point, 17-assist double-double. The 17 assists are the most by any player in NCAA DII in a single game this season. It is also Alexander's sixth double-double of the year. He recorded eight points and six assists in a comfortable win over Assumption. Following the week, Alexander leads the nation in both assists and assists-per-game. 

Josh Morissette, Saint Anselm (So., G - Exeter, N.H.)
Morissette dropped back-to-back 20-plus point games for Saint Anselm to help the team secure two conference wins over the week. He went 9-for-12 from the field for a 75.0 shooting percentage against Saint Rose on Wednesday and knocked down 4-of-7 three-pointers. Morissette produced a total of 12 rebounds, four assists, and two steals during the two league match-ups to help the Hawks improve to 4-5 in conference play.

Darrel Yepdo, Saint Michael's (So., G - Dracut, Mass.)
Yepdo averaged 24.0 points, 5.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 offensive rebounds and 2.0 steals during a 1-1 week. He shot 48.6% from the floor, including 46.2% (6-for-13) from three, and knocked down all eight free throw tries. In an 80-75 win over Bentley on Wednesday, Yepdo notched 18 points, eight assists and two steals before collecting a career-high 30 points, four boards, three offensive rebounds and two steals in a 94-80 loss at Bentley on Saturday. 

Josh McGettigan, Southern Conn. St. (Sr., F - Southbury, Conn.)
McGettigan put up 27 in an overtime thriller against NE10 rival New Haven on Jan. 10, including the game-tying three-pointer at the buzzer that sent the game to overtime. McGettigan knocked down six three-pointers in his 27-point eruption that also included 12 rebounds for his first double-double as an Owl. For the year, McGettigan is averaging 19.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game while shooting 49.2% (93-189) from the field including a 43.2% (38-88) three-point percentage.

Matt Becht, Southern N.H. (Gr., G/F - Vienna, Va.)
Becht tallied 17.5 points, 4.5 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game, while knocking down 50 percent (11-22) of his shots from the floor, including 62.5 percent (10-16) from downtown, and all three of his free throws, in a 2-0 week for SNHU. Becht notched 17 points (5-9 FG, 4-7 3-FG, 3-3 FT), six rebounds and four assists in a 77-64 win against American Int'l on Wednesday, before recording 18 points (6-13 FG, 6-9 3-FG), five assists, two rebounds and two steals in Saturday's 84-71 triumph over Southern Connecticut on Saturday.
