NE10 Player of the Week

Kellan Bochenek, Bentley
Graduate l Guard l Kettering, Ohio

During a 2-1 week, Bochenek shot a blistering 67 percent from three, making 16 of 24, and 67 percent overall while averaging 18.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists. He was five-of-six from deep in a 106-71 win over Felician and finished with 17 points and seven rebounds. At Post University in a 74-73 loss, he made a career-high six three-pointers in 10 attempts and finished with a career-best 20 points and six rebounds. On Tuesday, in a 102-83 win against Bridgeport, he scored 19 points (7/10, 5/8 3?s) for his third straight impressive effort. In addition to his shooting, Bochenek had only one turnover in 82 minutes.

NE10 Rookie of the Week

Ethan Simmon, New Haven
Sophomore (Rookie Eligible) | Forward | Edison, N.J.

In his second-straight game in double figures, Simmon led the Chargers in a home win over Georgian Court as he racked up a season-high 27 points, connecting on 9-of-13 from the field, including an impressive 7-of-10 from beyond the three point arc. He was also 2-of-2 at the line while finishing one rebound shy of a double double with nine boards. Finally, he added one steal and one block.

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Conor Regan, Adelphi (Gr., F - Mullica Hill, N.J.)
An impressive 62.5 percent shooting percentage through two victories highlighted Conor Regan's 14.5 points per game for the Panthers last week. Against Bridgeport he went 5-for-7 from the field, finishing with 14 points in 25 minutes. Against Caldwell, two of his five makes came from beyond the arc, aiding in his 15 points. He was consistent in the rebound column as well, nearly double-doubles in both contests with nine rebounds in each.

Daouda Dembele, Assumption (So., F - Silver Spring, Md.)
Dembele was crucial in two wins for Assumption on the week. In the Greyhounds' 68-54 win over Molloy on Saturday, he scored 17 points and pulled eight rebounds. He added two assists, two steals, and a block to his stat line. On Tuesday, he was akey part of Assumption's 17-point comeback in the 81-78 overtime win. Dembele logged 15 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals in the win.

Davontrey Thomas, New Haven (Sr., F - Poughkeepsie, N.Y.)
Matching his season-high with 19 points, Thomas completed his seventh straight game in double figures and his ninth, in 10 total games, against Georgian Court. He closed out the night shooting 8-of-13 from the field, with a 3-of-6 effort from outside the arc part of those totals.

Tyler Arbuckle, Saint Anselm (Sr., G - Bristol, Conn.)
Arbuckle poured in 40 points this week for Saint Anselm including 23 points against nationally-ranked Jefferson University, his fourth game this season scoring 20 or more points. He also registered 12 total rebounds, five assists, and a pair of steals. Arbuckle is currently ranked fourth in the league in both points per game (18.2) and field goals per game (6.4-15.0) season.

Ata Turgut, Saint Rose (Jr., F - Ankara, Turkey)
Turgut averaged 16 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game to help the Golden Knights go 2-0 this week. The forward's best play came in Sunday's 95-76 win against Queens in which he posted 21 points, six rebounds, and three assists. Turgut finished the week with a 66.7 percent (12-of-18) shooting clip from the floor, while also hitting 5-of-7 from three.

Nolan Marold, Saint Michael's (So., F - Highlands Ranch, Colo.)
Marold averaged 17.0 points on 66.7% shooting with 9.0 rebounds, 3.5 offensive boards and 2.0 assists in 34.0 minutes from the post in his team's 1-1 showing. He totaled 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting with seven rebounds, four offensive caroms and one block in a 101-93 loss to Staten Island on Saturday before posting a career-high 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting with 11 rebounds, three offensive boards and four assists in an 86-76 win over Wilmington on Tuesday.

Cherif Diarra, Southern Connecticut State (Jr., F - Brooklyn, N.Y.)
In a pair of non-conference wins at Georgian Court and against Holy Family that saw the Owls run their winning streak to six games, Cherif Diarra averaged 16 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2 blocks per game while shooting 86.7% (13-15) from the floor. Against Georgian Court, Diarra had eight points and six rebounds but followed with his third double-double of the season against Holy Family, totaling 24 points and 11 rebounds with two blocks after converting on 10-of-12 from the floor.

Alex Rivera, Southern New Hampshire (Gr., G - Lowell, Mass.)
Alex Rivera poured in a career-high 25 points (8-11 FG, 6-8 3-FG, 3-5 FT), grabbed four rebounds and made a pair of steals, as SNHU posted an 81-53 win against Molloy on Saturday in the lone game of the week. Rivera scored nine points during a 24-4 run early in the first half and then scored 10 during a 21-6 stretch to begin the second half.
