NE10 Player of the Week

Tray Alexander, Pace
Senior l Guard l Freeport, N.Y.

Alexander recorded the first triple-double in program history in an overtime win over Assumption where he finished with 18 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. It is also the first triple-double in the NE10 this season and 12th in DII. He either scored or assisted on all Pace points in the final 13 minutes of regulation. It was part of a 2-0 week for the Setters, who also tallied a win over Southern New Hampshire. Alexander continues to lead all of NCAA DII in assists-per-game with seven per game. 


NE10 Rookie of the Week

Christian Pierre-Louis, Saint Rose
Freshman | Guard | Plainfield, N.J.

Pierre-Louis logged 18.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game for Saint Rose this week. He had an 17-point, 11-rebound double-double at Saint Anselm on Tuesday before posting 19 points, eight boards, and two steals versus Bentley over the weekend. The freshman has finished in double-figures in seven of the last 10 games. 


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Elijah Lewis, Adelphi (So., G - Watchung, N.J.)
In a 1-1 week for Adelphi, Lewis led the scoring effort with 20.5 points per game while adding four rebounds per contest. In a win at Franklin Pierce he scored a team-leading 23 points behind 7-for-13 shooting from the field, with a 75 percent clip from three point land. Additionally for the week he went 13-for-15 at the free throw line.

Justice Ellison, American Int'l (Jr., G/F - Windsor, Conn.)
Ellison was a model of consistency for AIC in a 1-1 week, scoring 10 field goals in both of AIC's games and posting 25 points in both, adding to his NE10 scoring lead. He averaged 7.5 rebounds per game as well for AIC while shooting 47.6 percent.

Alex Carlisle, Assumption (Gr., G - Saint Johnsbury, Vt.)
In two games this week, Carlisle averaged 19.5 points on 71.4 shooting while adding 3.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists. At Pace on Wednesday, he scored 15 points before adding five rebounds and two assists. Carlisle was a significant key in Saturday's Greyhounds 79-78 win over Franklin Pierce. He helped rally Assumption from down 13 to edge out a one-point victory. The graduate student poured in a game-high 24 points on 9-of-12 shooting while adding two boards and four helpers in the win.

Zach Laput, Bentley (Sr., G - Beacon Falls, Conn.)
During a 2-0 week, Laput averaged 20 points, eight rebounds, 5.5 assists and three steals while shooting .469 overall, making four of ten three-pointers and sinking six of seven free throws. The Bevo Francis Top 50 Watch List selection began the week with 19 points, eight assists, five rebounds and one assist in a 84-65 win over conference-leading St. Michael's. Laput followed that effort with 22 points, 11 rebounds, five steals and three assists in a 79-75 win at Saint Rose. 

Davontrey Thomas, New Haven (Sr., F - Poughkeepsie, N.Y.)
Thomas led the Chargers scorers in a two-game week with an average of 18 points per game, one of three players to average double figures last week. The highlight of the week for Thomas came in a home win over AIC when he finished with a season-high 26 points, connecting on 6-of-13 from the field with three from long range and an 11-of-13 performance at the free throw line. For the week, Thomas shot 45.5 percent from the field overall and from beyond the arc and 84.6 percent from the free throw line while pulling down five rebounds, dishing out three assists and dishing out three steals.

Josh Morissette, Saint Anselm (So., G - Exeter, N.H.)
Morissette dropped 26 points in back-to-back games for Saint Anselm this week to go along with nine total rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and a pair of steals. He shot 47.2 percent from the field (17-36) over the two-game stretch knocking down a combined nine three-pointers and making all his free throws (9-9). Morissette is ranked fifth in the league in field goals made per game (6.2-13.8) and sixth in points per game (17.8).

Romar Reid, St. Michael's (Sr., G - Mount Vernon, N.Y.)
Reid averaged 19.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals in a 1-1 week against regionally-ranked squads. He had 15 points and seven boards in an 84-65 loss at Bentley on Wednesday before totaling 24 points, four assists, three rebounds and three steals in a 91-80 win over Southern Connecticut State on Saturday. Reid shot 9-of-18 overall, including 4-for-9 from three-point range, against the Owls. 

Marty Silvera, Southern Conn. St. (Jr., G - Worcester, Mass.)
Silvera had his first triple-double of his career with 10 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in a loss against Saint Michael's. In a win against Elm City rival, the University of New Haven, Silvera put up a solid game for the Owls with eight points, six assists, and two steals which not only assisted in the big win but also established him as third in the country in assists and fifth in the country in steals.
