NE10 Player of the Week
Luke Jaber, Bentley
Junior | Attack | Milton, Mass.
Jaber scored a career-high six goals in Bentley's 17-11 victory at Saint Michael's on Sunday. He had three goals in the 2nd quarter, two in the 3rd quarter and one in the 4th quarter to help the Falcons win their NE10 opener.
NE10 Defensive Player of the Week
Edward Perlstein, Adelphi
Senior | Face-off | Hewlett, N.Y.
Adelphi's leading faceoff man went 30-42 at the X this week, helping the Panthers to two wins. Against American International, he won all but two attempts, finishing the game at 16-fo-18. Along the way, he scooped up a team-leading 22 ground balls, and also added a goal in the season-opening win over Georgian Court.
NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week
Frank Delia, Le Moyne
Senior | Goalkeeper | Baldwinsville, N.Y.
He registered a career-high 18 saves as the top-ranked Dolphins rallied from a 5-1 first quarter deficit and 7-4 halftime deficit for an 8-7 victory over fifth-ranked Mercy on Saturday. He did not allow a goal in the second half as he made three saves in the third quarter and six in the fourth quarter.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Nathan Ham, Saint Rose
Freshman | Attack | Horseheads, N.Y.
Ham recorded a pair of goals and two assists to help the Golden Knights to a 2-0 week.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Kyle Steinbach, Adelphi (Sr, A - Garden City, N.Y.)
In a 2-0 week for Adelphi men's lacrosse, Kyle Steinbach was the leading scorer for the Panthers, tallying five goals. Against American International, Steinbach recorded a perfect shot-on-goal percentage, with four goals in four attempt. He also added an assist in both games to finish with seven points for the week.
Rusty Stone, American International (Jr, A - Granby, Conn.)
Stone was strong offensively against No. 6 Adelphi. He notched a pair of goals and set up a third, while gathering three ground balls for his team in their lone game of the week.
Stephen Ell, Franklin Pierce (Sr., A - Peabody, Mass.)
In the first game, he broke both of his previous personal records of goals in a game (5), as well as points (6).
Zach Pierce, Le Moyne (Sr, M - Gansevoort, N.Y.)
He registered four points on two goals and two assists in top-ranked Le Moyne's 8-7 come-from-behind victory at fifth-ranked Mercy on Saturday.
Kyle Casey, Pace (Gr., A, Yorktown Heights, N.Y.)
Casey led the Setters' offense during their season-opening win over Caldwell last week. The graduate student racked up four goals and an assist as Pace put together a 22-4 win over the Cougars.
Jack Robinson, Saint Anselm (Jr., A - Wilbraham, Mass.)
Junior Jack Robinson (Wilbraham, Mass.) handed out a team-best seven assists for Saint Anselm, who outshot Georgian Court by a commanding 74-19 margin in the team's convincing victory. Finishing with a career-high eight points (1-7=8), no Hawks student-athlete has logged seven assists in a game since recent Athletics Hall of Fame inductee Brian O'Leary '01 against New Haven on May 1, 2000.
CJ Hart, Saint Anselm (Sr., G - Reading, Mass.)
Hart stood tall for Saint Anselm, allowing just four goals on 10 attempts for a 60.0% save percentage to earn the victory. Coming out of the game shortly into the fourth quarter, he helped the No. 9-ranked team in NCAA Division II move to 2-0. For his career, Hart owns a 19-4 overall record.
Max Katavolos, St. Michael's (Jr., A - Newburyport, Mass.)
Junior Max Katavolos (Newburyport, Mass.) totaled three goals, four assists and five ground balls during a two-game week. In a 17-7 loss to Clarkson on Wednesday, he scored once while handing out two assists and scooping one ground ball before collecting two goals, two assists, four ground balls and a caused turnover in a 17-11 loss to No. 16 Bentley on Sunday.
Gabriel Nish, Saint Rose (Jr, M - Niskayuna, N.Y.)
Nish finished with five goals and three assists throughout a 2-0 week. He also recorded 10 shots-on-goal and came up with seven groundballs.
