Duchnowski Headlines NE10 Men’s Lacrosse All-Conference Honors

Dolphins Lead NE10 With 11 All-Conference Selections 


MANSFIELD, Mass. – Adelphi's Joseph Duchnowski was selected as the Northeast-10 Player of the Year as the league announced its All-Conference Awards on Tuesday afternoon. 

In addition to Duchnowski, Adelphi's Gordon Purdie was selected as the Coach of the Year after leading the Panthers to their best regular season since in 2014, going 10-0 in NE10 action. Adelphi finished with ten all-conference honorees overall, tied with Le Moyne for most in the NE10. The Dolphins did have a team-high six first-team selections. Saint Anselm was third with nine players named all-conference. To view the complete list of All-Conference and All-Rookie honorees, see below. 

Duchnowski was selected as the NE10 Player of the Year after leading Adelphi to a 10-0 regular season. He was the team's top goal scorer with 22 goals and ten assists for 32 points, along with 11 ground balls in conference play. He is tallied a season-high nine points against Bentley and then had three goals and one assist in the Panthers' 13-7 win over Le Moyne to conclude the season. He's the second Adelphi player to earn this award. 

Ryan Slattery of Saint Anselm was honored as the NE10 Defensive Player of the Year after anchoring the Hawk defense. He started all ten conference games, registering 26 ground balls and 17 caused turnovers as their defense ranked fourth in the NE10 in goals allowed. He is the second Saint Anselm player to earn Defensive Player of the Year honors. 

Le Moyne's Frank Delia was named the NE10 Goalkeeper of the Year after spearheading the best defense in the NE10. He finished 9-1 in conference play, leading the NE10 in GAA at 5.68 and save percentage (64.1). Delia finished with 84 saves and 47 goals allowed in 496:35 conference minutes. 

Cameron Theriault of Assumption was selected as the NE10 Rookie of the Year following an impressive freshman campaign. He finished with 14 goals and six assists in ten conference games to go with 18 ground balls and four caused turnovers. He is the second Assumption player to be named Rookie of the Year. 

Purdie earned NE10 Coach of the Year honors for the second time in his career. He led Adelphi to its first perfect mark in the NE10 since 2014 and its first outright NE10 Regular Season Championship since 2017. He defense only allowed two teams to score more than eight goals season, including a 13-7 victory over Le Moyne on the final day of the regular season.

The NE10 Men's Lacrosse Championship continues on Wednesday with semifinal action.
