NE10 Men's Soccer Report: Week 2

Week 2 - September 13, 2021

NE10 Player of the Week

Tom Henne, Le Moyne
Junior | Forward | Hamburg, Germany

He recorded three points on a goal and an assist in Le Moyne's 2-0 win over 22nd-ranked Post University on Saturday. He assisted on the game's first goal and headed in the second goal.


NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week

Josh Mahr, Le Moyne
Senior | Goalkeeper | Fayetteville, N.Y.

He registered four saves in a 2-0 victory over 22nd-ranked Post University on Saturday afternoon. He tallied one save in the first half and three in the second half.


NE10 Rookie of the Week

Victor Henriksen, Saint Rose
Freshman | Defense | Greve, Denmark

Scored both goals in Saturday's 2-0 win at Molloy, which proved to be the team's lone contest of the week after Wednesday's match with Dominican was canceled due to weather with the Golden Knights up 4-1 in the 60th minute.


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll 

Kevin Hernandez, Assumption (Sr., M - San Juan, P.R.)
Hernandez scored two goals in Assumption's draw with Me-Fort Kent on Wednesday. He is tied for second in the NE10 in total goals with three and finished the week with a .667 shots on goal percentage.

Tano Desseno, New Haven (Gr., M - Buenos Aires, Argentina)
In a 5-0 shutout of Bloomfield which opened the home schedule, graduate midfielder Tano Desseno picked up three points to lead the Blue and Gold. Desseno's goal came as he converted a penalty kick awarded for a hand ball in the box, while just under three minutes later he partnered up with Tyler Jasinski to feed graduate student Tiago Vintem for what was the fourth goal of the afternoon for New Haven.

Ian Boudreau, St. Michael's (So., GK - Simsbury, Conn.)
Sophomore Ian Boudreau made five saves during a 1-0 shutout of Saint Anselm on Saturday. Boudreau is in his rookie season after the team did not compete during the 2020-21 school year.

Isaiah McCaskill, St. Michael's (Sr., F - Springfield, Mass.)
Senior Isaiah McCaskill (Springfield, Mass.) scored the only goal of the game in the 67th minute of a 1-0 victory against Saint Anselm in the Purple Knights' lone game last week. A transfer into the College as a junior, he was making his home debut in the contest.

Santiago Rojas, Southern N.H. (Gr., GK - Tunja, Colombia)
Santiago Rojas turned away four of the six shots he faced during a 1-1-0 week for the Penmen. Rojas turned in a clean sheet with one save in a 2-0 blanking of No. 22 Post on Wednesday. He then kept No. 13 Wilmington (Del.) off the board for more than 62 minutes, but wound up stopping three of five in a 2-1 loss to the Wildcats on Saturday.

Zach Davis, Stonehill (So, M - South Hampton, N.H.)
Netted a pair of goals in a 1-1 week for the Skyhawks. Scored goals in each match for Stonehill on the week. His first career goal at Nyack on Wednesday gave the Skyhawks a 2-0 lead on their way to the 3-2 win. He also scored the Skyhawks lone goal at Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday, knotting the match at 1-1 a half hour in.
