NE10 Athletes, Programs Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

63 Athletes, 18 Programs Recognized.


MANSFIELD, Mass. – Last week the Northeast-10 had 63 cross country student-athletes and 18 different programs earn U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic honors for their success in the classroom and in competition.

Teams qualified by earning a cumulative team GPA of at least a 3.0. Overall, 10 different NE10 institutions were represented - including 10 women's cross country programs that secured All-Academic honors. Southern New Hampshire posted the fifth-highest GPA of any women's program in the nation with a 3.82 GPA. Bentley (3.39), Southern Connecticut (3.38) and Assumption (3.37) rounded out the top four programs.

On the men's side, eight NE10 programs earned All-Academic honors, led by Bentley which totaled a 3.44 GPA. Adelphi (3.38), AIC (3.37) and Stonehill (3.3) rounded out the top four in the Conference.

In order to qualify for individual All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-30 percent of their respective regional championship meet, among other qualifiers.

SNHU had a league-high seven selections on the women's side, while NE10 champion American International and Stonehill tied with five honorees each. Among men's teams, Franklin Pierce and Stonehill both had a league-best five athletes recognized. Adelphi and NE10 champion American International each added four.

The NE10 is an association of 14 diverse institutions serving student-athletes across 24 NCAA Division II sports. Together we build brilliant futures by embracing the journey of every student-athlete.
