Falcons Recognized for Academic Excellence.
MANSFIELD, Mass. – The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) recognized the Bentley baseball program in late July with an ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award for outstanding achievement in the classroom – representing the Northeast-10 Conference's commitment to academic, as well as athletic, success.
Teams from every NCAA division were honored with the ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award, which highlights programs coached by ABCA members that posted a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale for the entire 2019-20 academic year.
"In light of the challenges faced by so many programs across the country, we are humbled to be able to honor a record number of teams for their outstanding academic achievements," said ABCA Executive Director Craig Keilitz. "It is a testament to the leadership of our member coaches and the commitment of their student-athletes who persevered during an unprecedented academic year."
It is the fifth-straight year that Bentley has earned this honor from the ABCA. The Falcons are one of only 11 Division II programs recognized each year since the award's inception in 2016. Bentley achieved a 3.20 GPA during this past year.
