NE10 Player of the Week

Randy Flores, Franklin Pierce
Junior | Infield | Brooklyn, N.Y.

Posted a slash line of .455/.552/.773 for a 1.325 OPS over 22 at-bats (10-for-22) in a 5-1 week for the Ravens. Hit four doubles and a home run, scored nine times and drove in nine. Drew six walks against just two strikeouts. Stole three bases without getting caught. Had a pair of three-hit games. Went 3-for-6 with a double, scored twice and drove in a run in the second game at Bentley on Wednesday. Hit 3-for-3 with three doubles, scored twice, drove in four and stole a base in Friday's second game against Assumption. Cranked a solo home run as part of a 2-for-3, two-run, two-RBI first game against Assumption Saturday. 

NE10 Pitcher of the Week

Christian Aich, Pace
Sophomore | Pitcher | Sayreville, N.J.

Aich tossed five scoreless innings with five strikeouts during the Setters' 9-2 win over Saint Rose on Saturday. Aich is now 2-0 this season, having allowed just two earned runs in 14.1 innings of work (1.26 ERA).

NE10 Rookie of the Week

Steve Rizzuto, Bentley
Freshman | Infield | Belmont, Mass.

During a 2-2 week, Rizzuto hit .467 (7 of 15) and was involved in eight runs (four scored, four RBI). His week also included a double and a .556 on base percentage. Defensively, he handled ten of 11 chances at third base. In the nightcap against Franklin Pierce, he was 4-for-5 with two runs scored, a double and three RBI.

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Connor Wironen, Assumption (Jr., C/OF - Leominster, Mass.)
Wironen led the Hounds at the plate last week with eight hits over six games. He went 3-for-5 with two RBIs in the first match-up at Saint Anselm and added one hit in game two on Wednesday. Wironen added a homerun to his stat sheet for the week in a setback at Franklin Pierce on Friday and went 2-for-4 in their final game of the week. Wironen finished the week batting .348 with three RBIs and six runs scored for Assumption.

Ryan Berardino, Bentley (Gr., 1B - Sudbury, Mass.)
In a pair of doubleheader splits, Berardino was 7-for-13 with a slash line of .538/.625/.692 for the Falcons. He had two doubles, two runs scored, three RBI and was on base 10 times in four games. He hit safely in all four games, with three hits in game 2 at Saint Anselm, three RBI in game 2 vs. Franklin Pierce and four times on base (2-for-2, walk, hit by pitch) in a 4-3 win over Franklin Pierce in game 1. 

Seb Gruszecki, Franklin Pierce (Gr., P - Dudley, Mass.)
Took the ball in Friday's first game against Assumption. Threw 93 pitches (54 strikes) over six scoreless innings, allowed two hits, walked four and struck out five on the way to the win. 

Matt Almonte, Pace (Sr., OF - New Rochelle, N.Y.)
Almonte continued his red-hot stretch to begin 2021 during Pace's two victories last week. The senior put together a 4-for-8 effort at the plate in a doubleheader sweep of Saint Rose. Almonte finished the afternoon with six RBIs and four runs scored. He is now batting a team-best .457 this season with 15 RBIs.

Ryan Schworer, Saint Anselm (Sr., P - Medfield, Mass.)
Threw six solid innings in a no-decision against Bentley, striking out 10 and walking five while allowing two unearned runs on five hits. The Hawks edged the Falcons, 3-2. 

Dante Moran, Saint Michael's (Sr., SS/P - St. Petersburg, Fla.)
Moran batted 6-for-9 with three runs and three RBI during a doubleheader against Stonehill on Wednesday, slashing .667/1.000/.667. He added a double, triple and stolen base. During a 13-6 loss in the opener, Moran was a home run shy of the cycle out of the leadoff spot, finishing 3-for-5 with two runs, an RBI and a steal. In the nightcap, a 13-8 loss that he started on the mound, Moran hit 3-for-4 out of the No. 2 hole with a run and two RBI while also striking out four batters in 4.1 innings. 

Anthony Zambito, So. Connecticut (Jr., OF - Ridgewood, N.J.)
In the Owls' only game of the week, a 14-9 win against non-conference foe Felician, Tony Zambito was 4-for-6 with two RBI, two stolen bases and two runs scored.

Billy Duff, Stonehill (So., P - Garden City, N.Y.)
Duff earned his first-career win as he came in relief for the Skyhawks in game one of the series against Saint Michael's College, where Stonehill won 13-6. The sophomore threw 4.1 innings allowing only 2 hits, 1 earned run, 1 walk and striking out six batters.

Matt Farragher, Stonehill (Jr., INF - Mansfield, Mass.)
Farragher led the team with four runs scored this week after the Skyhawks defeated Saint Michael's College 13-6 and 13-8. The junior went 3-for-7 with all of his hits recorded as doubles, to also lead the team. He recorded three RBI, walked once, and was hit by a pitch averaging .429 at the plate as the designated hitter in both games.
