NCAA ANNOUNCEMENT

Franklin Pierce Serving as East Regional Host.

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Southern New Hampshire, the Northeast-10 Conference champion, has been selected as the top seed in the upcoming NCAA East Regional this week, as Division II announced the full 42-team field on Sunday night.

Franklin Pierce, who advanced to the Northeast Division finals of the NE10 Championship, was picked as the predetermined host of the East Regional. The Ravens are seeded fourth in the six-team regional and will host all games this week at Pappas Field in Rindge, N.H.

In light of current COVID-19 guidelines issued by the state of New Hampshire and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Pappas Field will be open to spectators throughout the East Regional. Spectators must maintain appropriate social distance from participants and credentialed tournament staff at all times. Face masks will be required within designated areas of the field.

For information on tickets, parking and teams competing in the regional, visit Franklin Pierce's Championship Central page.

SNHU, ranked No. 20 in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) poll, swept Adelphi on Friday to win its third NE10 title in program history. The Penmen have won two regional titles in program history and have appeared in four-straight regional finals. SNHU will play sixth-seeded Dominican on Thursday night at 7 p.m. to begin their NCAA postseason.

Franklin Pierce will kick-off regional play against third-seeded Molloy on Thursday at 3 p.m. The Ravens are a seven-time NCAA regional champion, most recently in 2016, and are hosting the tournament for the ninth time overall – and for the eighth time at Pappas Field.

The NCAA DII Baseball Championship provides for eight regional sites hosting three to six teams each this season. All regionals are double-elimination tournaments and will be played May 27-30. Regional winners will advance to the double-elimination championship finals from June 5-12 at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, N.C.
