Penmen to Host Panthers on Friday in Doubleheader.

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Top seeds Southern New Hampshire and Adelphi won their elimination games on Monday - besting second-seeded Franklin Pierce and Le Moyne, respectively, in the divisional finals - and advance to the Northeast-10 Conference Baseball Championship series beginning on Friday. SNHU will host Adelphi at Penmen Field in a doubleheader beginning at 12 p.m. No spectators are allowed, but a live broadcast will be available on NE10 NOW - the conference's digital streaming platform.

The Penmen, who are ranked No. 20 in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) poll, are looking for their third NE10 title in the past seven seasons, while the Panthers return to the league championship for the first time since losing to SNHU in 2014. Adelphi looks for its first NE10 title since 2011.

(1NE) SNHU 13, (2NE) Franklin Pierce 6 – Box Score

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Graduate student Marcus Chavez and redshirt-junior Sam Henrie each collected three hits and belted two of the team's four home runs, while the bullpen turned in six-and-a-third strong innings, to lead the 20th-ranked Southern New Hampshire baseball team to a 13-6 victory over Franklin Pierce in the third and decisive game of the Northeast-10 Championship divisional final Monday afternoon at Penmen Field.

The Penmen, seeded first in the Northeast Division, will play host to the Southwest Division's No. 1 seed, Adelphi, in the NE10 Championship final at Penmen Field. The teams will play a noon doubleheader Friday (May 21) to kick off the best-of-three series, with an if-necessary game three scheduled for Saturday (May 22) at noon. This will be the second time the two teams meet in the NE10 Championship, with the Penmen scoring a 2-0 win over the Panthers to earn their first NE10 crown back in 2014.

(1SW) Adelphi 13, (2SW) Le Moyne 2 – Box Score

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. - For the first time since 2014, the Adelphi baseball team will appear in the NE10 Championship final, following a 13-2 win over Le Moyne in the decisive game of the 2021 NE10 Southwest Division final on Monday at William J. Bonomo Memorial Field in Garden City.

In a winner-take-all contest, Nicolas Luc made the start on short rest and picked up from where he left off on Thursday. He impressively let up only one earned run and struck out six in 5.2 innings of work in the victory.

The top-seeded Panthers (19-13), who have now won 10 of their last 11, will meet the No. 1 seed from the Northeast Division -- Southern New Hampshire -- in a best-of-three series, starting Friday (May 21) in Manchester, N.H.
