Week 1 - March 15, 2021
NE10 Player of the Week
Kyle Maurice, Saint Anselm
Junior | Catcher | Exeter, N.H.
Maurice drove in a team-record 10 runs against American International in Game 1 on Sunday with the help of two grand slams and a two-run ground rule double. The previous record for single-game runs batted in was held by Eric Kraut '94 – he drove in nine runs and connected for four home runs against Assumption on Apr. 29, 1994. On the weekend, he finished with an NE10-leading 11 runs batted in, scoring six runs and tallying 14 total bases.
NE10 Pitcher of the Week
Nicolas Luc, Adelphi
Senior | Pitcher | Farmingdale, N.Y.
Luc made two appearances, but was masterful in his only start of the week -- a 5-2 win over Pace. He became the first pitcher since All-American Ed Baram in 2019 to strike out nine or more batters in a single game. His nine strikeouts over six innings tied his career-high from his Apr. 6, 2019 start at Saint Anselm. He faced the minimum over the first three innings and allowed only one earned run and two hits in his outing. Luc also threw a scoreless inning of relief and retired the side in order with two strikeouts in a 15-0 rout of Felician.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Zach Clough, Saint Anselm
Freshman | Outfield | Newbury, Mass.
Clough led Saint Anselm rookies with six hits this weekend, posting a double on Saturday against American International and ended up posting three consecutive two-hit games. He drove in three runs on Sunday in Game 1 against the Yellow Jackets and finished the weekend with eight runs scored, three walks and two stolen bases.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Alifano contributed three RBIs on a pair of doubles in a doubleheader split with Pace and accounted for the lone RBI hit in a losing effort at Mercy.
Matt Almonte, Pace (Sr., OF - New Rochelle, N.Y.)
Almonte put together a red-hot stretch at the plate to begin 2021 last week. The senior outfielder went 5-for-10 with six runs scored across three games as Pace tallied a 2-1 record. He capped off the week by launching a solo home run in game two of a Saturday doubleheader at Adelphi.
