NE10 Swimmers of the Week

Emma Hapkiewicz, Bentley
Senior l South Windsor, Conn.

Hapkiewicz won the 200 free against Saint Rose in 2:02.31 to taje the race by more than four seconds. She won the 500 free in 5:20.16 to finish more than nine seconds ahead of the field.

William Kwan
Sophomore  l  Staten Island, N.Y.

Kwan posted the top time in the conference in three separate events this week, 10:21.05 in the 1000-Yard Free, 2:16.15 in the 200-Yard Breast, and 2:01.64 in the 200-Yard IM. Two of those times were also good for first place during CSI's meet against Saint Peter's and Manhattan. 


NE10 Divers of the Week

Michael Graham, College of Staten Island
Sophomore | Staten Island, N.Y.

Graham posted the top score in one-meter (6 dives) and two-meter (5 dives) this week and took first at CSI's meet against Saint Peter's and Manhattan.

Hilla Almog, Bentley
Junior l Wayland, Mass.

Almog swept the diving events in Bentley's win over Saint Rose. She outpointed the Golden Knights in the one-meter dive with a score of 263.85 and she also won the three meter with a score of 276.52.


NE10 Rookies of the Week

Edna Melendez, College of Staten Island
Freshman l Abingdon, Md.

Melendez posted the top time in the conference in three separate events this week, 2:18.02 in the 200-Yard Back, 2:26.24 in the 200-Yard Fly, and 2:26.64 in the 200-Yard IM. She also posted the best 50-Yard Backstroke as part of a relay with a time of 29.83.

Ryan Kakimseit. Adelphi
Freshman l New York, N.Y.

Followed up his NE10 Swimmer and Rookie of the Week honors with another four victories at Pace last Friday. The freshman was a member of two winning relay quartets in the 400-yard freestyle and medley relays, and also touched the wall first in the 50-yard backstroke (24.41) and 100-yard butterfly (51.86). Both times currently headline the NE10 leaderboard.


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Cooper Rivers, Adelphi (Jr., Lake Elsinore, Calif.)
Won four total events (three individual) in a 199-89 victory at Pace last Friday ... Topped the field in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:30.94), 100-yard freestyle (48.51) and 400-yard IM (4:28.11) ... All three times ranked among the Top 5 leaders in the NE10 in those strokes ... Also part of the winning 400-yard medley relay for the 'Cats.

Jordan Nuzback, Bentley (Jr., Fairview, Penn.)
Nuzback's first win of the meet against St. Rose came in the 200 IM with a time of 2:15.65 to take first by almost five seconds. She later took the 100 free in 55.45.

Jordan Swanson, College of Staten Island (Jr., Staten Island, N.Y.)
Swanson posted the top score in 1-Meter Diving (6 dives) and 2- Meter Diving (5 dives) this week and took first at CSI's meet against Saint Peter's and Manhattan. Her 11-dive score that set a school record and qualified for NCAA's.

Jessie Hart, Saint Michael's College (Jr., Canton, Mass.)
Hart went 3-for-3 in a victory over Keene State on Saturday. She took the 1,000 freestyle (12:09.79) and 200 breaststroke (2:36.27) while swimming for the winning 400 medley relay (4:16.85). Her average time of victory in the events was 30.43 seconds.

Rafael Kowal, Saint Michael's College (So., Plattsburgh, N.Y.)
Sophomore Rafael Kowal (Plattsburgh, N.Y.) won both individual races while setting a school record in the Purple Knights' victory over Keene State on Saturday. Kowal broke a nearly five-year-old mark in the 400 IM (4:21.31) with the top time in the NE10 this season while also topping the 200 backstroke field (2:00.98). He also aided the second-place 400 medley relay (3:53.76).

Sebastian Revesz, Saint Michael's College (So., Bedford, Mass.)
Sophomore Sebastian Revesz (Bedford, Mass.) won both one-meter diving competitions during a victory over Keene State on Saturday, scoring 106.50 points in the first and 154.60 in the second.

Ashley Silveira, Saint Michael's College (So., Seekonk, Mass.)
Sophomore Ashley Silveira (Seekonk, Mass.) won one one-meter diving competition (130.85) while finishing second (165.00) in the other during a victory over Keene State on Saturday.
