NE10 Swimmers of the Week
James Henriques, Saint Rose
Junior l Middletown, N.Y.
Henriques claimed first place in both the 50-yard freestyle (21.85 seconds) and the 50-yard butterfly (23.15) on Friday at Mount Saint Mary. Henriques was also part of the victorious 200 medley and 500 freestyle relay teams for the Golden Knights.
Hailey Nyquist, Southern Connecticut State
Junior l Staten Island, N.Y.
Against Pace, Hailey Nyquist won the 200 Individual Medley with a time of 2:16.64 and then followed with a win in the 100 Freestyle with a time of 55.71. Against Yale, she posted a time of 25.65 in the 50 Free and a time of 1:40.30 in the 100 Back.
NE10 Diver of the Week
Sean Rorke, Pace
Senior l Smithtown, N.Y.
Rorke turned in a pair of wins in the 1m and 3m against Southern Connecticut State with scores of 258.90 and 216.30. At the Rider Diving Invitational, Rorke logged scores of 225.65 in the 1m and 215.80 in the 3m, which got him a fifth place finish.
Isabella Reyes, Pace
Sophomore | Miami, Fla.
Reyes earned a trio of first first finishes last week, winning both the 1m and 3m against SCSU with scores of 214.79 and 221.20. She also took first in the 3m at the Rider Diving Invitational with a score of 209.50.
NE10 Rookies of the Week
Delroy Tyrrell, Saint Rose
Freshman l Trincity, Trinidad & Tobago
Tyrrell took the win in the 50-yard backstroke at Mount Saint Mary, as he logged a winning mark of 24.12 seconds. In addition to landing on the podium with a third-place result in the 50 freestyle (22.10), Tyrrell bookended the Golden Knights' first place-finishing 200 medley and 500 freestyle relay squads.
Chinyere Mgbemena, Saint Rose
Freshman l Harare, Zimbabwe
Mgbemena touched first in the 50-yard freestyle and 50-yard breaststroke on Friday, as she registered respective times of 26.38 and 33.05 seconds versus Mount Saint Mary. Mgbemena was also part of victories in the 200 medley and 500 freestyle relays for Saint Rose
NE10 Relay of the Week
Men's 200 Medley Relay, Saint Rose
The group of Delroy Tyrrell, Eduardo Sarmiento, James Henriques, and Aldemar Alikavazovic touched in 1:38.00 to take first place in the 200-medley relay at Mount Saint Mary on Friday.
Women's 200 Medley Relay, Saint Rose
Mia Stroub, Chinyere Mgbemena, Natalie Herl, and Leana Padunina worked together to win the 200-yard medley relay in 1:58.78 against Mount Saint Mary.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Padunina took first place in the 50-yard butterfly and 50-yard backstroke in Friday's dual meet at Mount Saint Mary. She took the 50 fly in 28.12 seconds before touching in 30.21 in the 50 back. Padunina also helped the Golden Knights win the 200 medley and 500 free relays.
Against Pace Brooke Keeney won the 1,000 Free with a time of 10:53.85 and followed with a win in the 1650 Free with a time of 10:53.85. Against Yale, she was part of the 500 Medley Relay team that finished in 5:22.05 and swam a 30.69, 50 Backstroke.
Against Yale, Franklin Kuhn finished second in the 50 Free with a time of 22.06 and then posted a time of 1:17.00 in the 150 Free. Against Pace, Kuhn won the 200 Free with a time of 1:47.11 and followed with a win in the 100 Free with a time of 48.12.
Against Pace, Jayson Main had a score of 148.50 in the 1 Metr and 190.42 in the 3 Meter. Against Yale, Main posted a 164.50 in the 1 Meter and followed with a 158.85 in the 3 Meter.
Against Pace, Dylan Prescher won the 1000 Free with a time of 10:17.00 and the 500 Free with a time of 5:00.33. Against Yale, Prescher led the Owls with a time of 2:53.00 in the 300 Free.
