SCSU Women Claim Fourth Straight NE10 Championship
WORCESTER, Mass. – Southern Connecticut women's swimming & diving won the 2024 Northeast-10 Conference Championship with a score of 1061.5, finishing ahead of Bentley (756.5) and Assumption (483).
The Owls won their fourth-straight NE10 Championship and 16th of all-time dating back to the 2003-04 season. The Owls captured 29 medals, including nine individual championships. Fourteen athletes contributed to the 29 medals as the Owls were ahead after each session of the four day event.

Bentley finished as the runner up for the third year in a row, as Assumption finished third. Throughout the weekend the SCSU Owls also broke two NE10 records. Hailey Nyquist broke the 100 Backstroke record with a time of 55.51, and a team of Nyquist, Allyson Quitos, Justice Glasglow, and Arianna Arturi broke the 400 Medley Relay record with a time of 3:50.64.
Emma Hapkiewicz of Bentley was named the Women's Most Outstanding Swimmer of the Meet for the second straight year after winning gold medals in the 1000 Freestyle, 500 Freestyle, and 1650 Freestyle. She won the 1650 Freestyle by 40 seconds. The Falcons also won Diver of the Meet for the fourth straight year. Hilla Almog won Diver of the Meet, after winning the 1-Meter and 3-Meter Dives. Gabrielle Lupe of Saint Rose took home the Elite 24 award with a 4.00 GPA in Early Childhood & Childhood Education.
