NE10 Swimmers of the Week

Drew Ladner, Southern Connecticut
Sophomore l Fulshear, Tex.

Owls freshman standout Drew Ladner had a busy weekend. Against Bentley in a dual meet victory, Ladner led the Owls with wins in the 200 Freestyle (1:45.60), 100 Freestyle (47.40) and the 100 Butterfly (53.83). On Sunday in a tri-meet win against Assumption and Saint Rose, Ladner was on the 400 Medley Relay (3:34.23) and 400 Freestyle Relay (3:19.45) teams that picked up wins and also finished third in the 50 Freestyle with a time of 22.00.

Caroline McKay, Assumption
Sophomore l Gloucester, Mass.

In two meets this week, McKay was a part of four first-place finishes. Against Providence, she won the 50-yard Freestyle (25.32) before being a part of the 200-yard Freestyle (1:42.32), which won by 14 seconds. On Sunday, she cut time on her 50-yard Freestyle (24.91) while also being in the second leg of the 400-yard Freestyle Relay (3:44.88). McKay finished off her weekend with a third place finish in the 100-yard Freestyle (55.22).


NE10 Divers of the Week

JT Tressel, Southern Connecticut
Sophomore l Meriden, Conn.

Against Bentley, Jonathan Tressel posted a score of 195.45 on the 1 Meter board and 218.95 on the 3 Meter board. Against Assumption and Saint Rose, Tressel posted scores of 221.25 on the 1 Meter and 140.85 on the 3 Meter.

Nicholle Denault, Southern Connecticut State
Senior l West Hartford, Conn.

Against Bentley, Nicholle Denault posted scores of 211.25 in the 1 Meter Diving event and 201.25 in the 3 Meter event. She followed against Assumption and Saint Rose with a 225.00 in the 1 Meter event and a 153.85 on the 3 Meter board.


NE10 Rookies of the Week 

Ryan Kakimseit, Adelphi
Freshman l New York, N.Y.

Ryan Kakimseit earned himself four individual top swims and helped two relays to gold over the weekend as Adelphi competed at now-Division I Le Moyne and the College of Saint Rose. Against the Golden Knights he put up a 52.60 time in the 100 backstroke and 2:01.13 in the 200 IM while swimming a 22.50 in his leg of the 200 freestyle relay.

Savina Villani, Assumption
Freshman l Shrewsbury, Mass.

In two meets this week, Savina Villani had eight top-two finishes. Against Providence, she was the third leg of the 200-yard Freestyle Relay (1:42.32), which took first, before being the second swimmer of the 200-yard Medley Relay (1:54.64). She also came in second in the 100-yard Breaststroke (1:09.79) and the 200-yard Breaststroke (2:30.68). On Sunday, Villani won the 200-yard Butterfly (2:13.26) and the 200-yard Breaststroke (2:30.39, before being the anchor leg of the first-place 400-yard Freestyle Relay (3:44.88). She capped off the weekend with a second-place finish in the 400-yard Medley Relay (4:10.26).


NE10 Relay of the Week

Men's 200 Medley, Saint Rose

Delroy Tyrrell, Aldemar Alikavazovic, James Henriques, and Fabrizio Infante combined to post the fourth-fastest time in the conference this season with their winning mark of 1:36.49 at Adelphi on Saturday.

Women's 200 Medley, Southern Connecticut State

Against Bentley, Southern Connecticut's "A" relay team comprised of Hailey Nyquist, Allyson Quitos, Justice Glasgow and Kali Dominguez took the 200 Yard Medley Relay with a time of 1:50.73.


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Cooper Rivers, Adelphi (Jr., Lake Elsinore, Calif.)
Rivers took three individual swims and one second place showing over the weekend as Adelphi took on Le Moyne and Saint Rose in dual meet action. Against the Golden Knights, he place first in the 100 freestyle with a time of 47.83 and swam 1:45.94 against the Division I Dolphins in the 200 freestyle to win the race. His leg of the 200 medley at Le Moyne was 23.88 to help the Panthers place first.
 
Delaney Noel, Adelphi (Jr., Dubuque, Iowa)
Delaney Noel was a high-point earner in both of Adelphi's meets over the weekend, as they competed against Division I Le Moyne and the College of Saint Rose. Against the Dolphins, she topped the field with a 5:37.64 time in the 500 free and an 11:32.13 in the 1000 free to place first in both events. Her leg of the 200 freestyle relay helped the squad finish firs tin a time of 1:52.12 against the Golden Knights.
 
Sean Leary, Assumption (Fr., South Windsor, Conn.)
Leary had a pair of second-place finishes at the Southern Connecticut Tri-Meet, as he placed in the 400-yard IM (4:23.84) and the 200-yard Breaststroke (2:18.92).
 
Thomas Kane, Saint Michael's College (Jr., Sparta, N.J.)
Kane (Sparta, N.J.) won three events against Bentley on Tuesday. He aided the top 200 medley relay (1:40.10) and captured the 50 freestyle (22.30) and 50 butterfly (24.50) while anchoring the runner-up 200 freestyle relay (1:31.99), which lost by only 0.09 seconds. His 50 freestyle leg of 21.90 seconds was the fastest in the event by 0.62 seconds.
 
James Henriques, Saint Rose (Jr., Middletown, N.Y.)
Henriques was triumphant twice in the 50-yard Freestyle over the weekend, as he posted winning times of 21.22 seconds at Adelphi and 21.48 seconds versus SCSU and Assumption. In addition to finishing on top of the podium again in the 100 Free (48.47) in Sunday's tri-meet, Henriques touched second in the 100-yard Butterfly (53.45) and also helped the Golden Knights claim the 200 Medley Relay against the Panthers on Saturday.
 
Brooke Keeney, Southern Connecticut State (So., Glastonbury, Conn.)
Against Bentley, Keeney won the 200 Freestyle event with a time of 1:59.15 and also finished second in the 200 Individual Medley (2:15.88). Against Assumption, Keeney won the 200 Backstroke with a time of 2:16.48 and was also on the 400 Freestyle Relay team that finished second at 3:51.79.
 
Molly Kennedy, Southern Connecticut State (Fr., Pospect, Conn.)
In a huge weekend against Northeast-10 Conference opponents, freshman Molly Kennedy won four out of the five individual events she swam in and also picked up a relay win. Against Bentley, Kennedy won the 50 Free (25.03), 100 Free (54.79) and finished second in the 200 Free (2:00.22). Against Assumption and Saint Rose, Kennedy won the 50 Free (25.11) and the 500 Free (5:33.73) after opening the competition with a win in the 400 Medley Relay (4:08.89).
 
Kobe Dominquez, Southern Connecticut State (Jr., West Hartford, Conn.)
In the Owls' dual meet win against Bentley, Dominguez won the 200 Breaststroke event with a time of 2:14.29 and the 100 Breaststroke event with a time of 59.28, and was also part of the 200 Medley Relay team that won with a time of 1:37.27. In a tri-meet win against Assumption and Saint Rose, Dominguez finished second in the 200 Back with a time of 1:59.71 and was also part of the 400 Medley Relay (3:34.23) and 400 Freestyle Relay (3:19.45) teams that also won.
