NE10 Swimmers of the Week

Sean Leary, Assumption
Freshman l South Windsor, Conn.

Leary had three first-place finishes at Saint Rose on Saturday. He won the 1000yd Freestyle (10:37.08) and the 500yd Freestyle (5:09.33) after being the second leg of the 200yd Medley Relay (1:44.44) team that took first.

Jenna Swist, Assumption
Junior l Broad Crook, Conn.

Swist took first in three races while taking second in the 500yd Freestyle (5:44.60). She won the 200yd Freestyle (2:00.85) and the 100yd freestyle (54.98), before being the starting leg of the first place 200yd Freestyle Relay (1:43.41) team.


NE10 Diver of the Week

James Sullivan, Saint Rose
Sophomore | Guilford, Conn. 

Sullivan captured the 1-meter title in an NE10 tilt with Assumption on December 2nd.  The sophomore posted a 403.31 score and secured nine points for the Golden Knights.

Hilla Almog, Bentley
Junior | Wayland, Mass.

Almog was second in the 3-meter dive finals at the Gompei Invitational with a score of 431.75. She was third in the 1-meter dive finals with a score of 399.90.


NE10 Rookies of the Week 

Sean Leary, Assumption

Leary had three first-place finishes at Saint Rose on Saturday. He won the 1000yd Freestyle (10:37.08) and the 500yd Freestyle (5:09.33) after being the second leg of the 200yd Medley Relay (1:44.44) team that took first.

Molly Kennedy, Southern Connecticut State 
Freshman l Prospect, Conn.

Against Staten Island, first-year Owl Molly Kennedy won the 1000 Yard Freestyle and 100 Yard Freestyle events. In the 1000 Free, Kennedy posted a time of 11:18.03, defeated the second-place swimmer by 1:20.44. In the 100 Free, Kennedy touched at 55.90. She was also the lead leg in the 400 Freestyle Relay that posted an event-best time of 4:15.84.


NE10 Relay of the Week

Men's 200 Freestyle Relay, Adelphi

The Adelphi men's relay squad of Ryan Kakimseit, Eric Slavin, Elijah West, and Cooper Rivers clocked in at 1:23.63 which solidifies their spot at the top among NE10 competition after the weekend. Additionally, the time ranks 35th inside Division II.

Women's 200 Freestyle Relay, Adelphi

The quartet of Ally Westendorf, Natalia Brulinski, Aizel Pusing and Emily Munayirji swam 1:40.26 in the 200 freestyle relay which puts them second in the NE10, just under one second behind the group from Assumption.


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Emily Munayirji, Adelphi (So., - Plainview, N.Y.)
An outstanding weekend of swims for Emily Munayirji was highlighted by a new program record in the 200 back, a personal best and sub-one minute finish in the 100 backstroke. Her time of 2:08.89 ranks first in the NE10 and her 100 backstroke time of 59.94 puts her second among conference competition. Munayriji also ranks 4th in the 100 freestyle with a time of 54.92.
 
Aizel Pusing, Adelphi (Fr., - Queens Village, N.Y.)
Aizel Pusing was the highest point earner for the Adelphi women's program at the ECAC Winter Championship over the weekend. She set one program record in the 200 breast and swam eight personal best times. Her 200 breaststroke time of 2:28.40 ranks fourth in the NE10 as her 1:08.99 in the 100 breast is sixth.
 
Savina Villani, Assumption (Fr., - Shrewsbury, Mass.)
Villani had three first-place finishes while placing second once in the Greyhounds' dominating win at Saint Rose. She won the 200-yard Butterfly (2:14.68) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:32.58) while also being a part of the group that won the 200-yard Medley Relay (1:54.08). Villani wrapped up her day with a second place finish in the 1000 freestyle (11:25.47).
 
Skyla Lang, Bentley (Fr., - Roseville, Calif.)
At the Gompei Invitational on Sunday, Lang won the 100 IM in 1:00.49. In the prelims she set the school record with a time of 59.75. On Friday, she claimed second in the 200 IM final with a time of 2:09.20. 
 
John Zhang, Bentley (Fr., - Flushing, N.Y.)
Zhang set a new school record in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:05.45 at the Gompei Invitational and finished third in the finals. Set a school record in the 100 backstroke at 51.12 and was second in the finals. Zhang was also third in the 100 IM at 52.69. That is the 2nd fastest time in that event in school history.
 
Arianna Arturi, Southern Connecticut State (Jr., - Mount Olive, N.J.)
Against College of Staten Island, Owls' junior Arianna Arturi won the 50 Yard Freestyle with a time of 25.11, finished second in the 100 Yard Butterfly with a time of 1:03.61 and had the top time in the 100 Breaststroke at 1:11.04.

Kobe Dominguez, Southern Connecticut State (Jr., - West Hartford, Conn.)
Against Staten Island, Kobe Dominguez finished second in the 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 54.63, and also posted the top time in the 100 Yard Breaststroke at 1:01.19. He was also part of the 400 Medley Relay team that won the event with a time of 3:40.17.
