NE10 Swimmers of the Week

Carter Ferrara, Bentley
Sophomore l Coto de Caza, Calif.

Ferrara won both the 100 and 200 freestyle and helped the 200 medley relay team win in Bentley's 186-89 win over Bridgewater State. He touched first in the 200 free with a time of 1:50.64 and in the 100 free his time was 49.16. He swam the anchor for the 200 medley relay team, which won with a time of 1:37.42

Jordan Nuzback, Bentley
Junior l Fairview, Penn.

Nuzback collected two individual wins and helped the 200 medley relay team to a first place finish in Bentley's dual meet triumph over Bridgewater State. She won the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:00.39, which was a meet record and a top-10 time in the NE10 this season. She was also first in the 50 free at 26.11. She swam the 3rd leg of the 200 medley relay team and their time of 1:56.08 is top-10 in the NE10 so far this season.


NE10 Divers of the Week

Owen Angkatavanich, Bentley
Sophomore l Guilford, Conn.

Angkatavanich posted a season best score in the 1 meter dive (six dives) at 214.80. That was the 4th best score in the NE10 so far this season. He also had a season best in the 3 meter dive (six dives) at 174.51 for the 3rd best score in the NE10 this season.

Hilla Almog, Bentley
Junior l Wayland, Mass.

Almog completed an undefeated dual season by winning the 1 and 3 meter dives in Bentley's 189-99 victory over Bridgewater State on Jan. 25. She scored a 290.25 in the 1 meter, just four points off her season high. She scored a 267.90 in the 3 meter.


NE10 Rookies of the Week 

Daniel Lehr, Bentley
Freshman l Bethlehem, Penn.

Lehr swam the lead off leg for the winning 200 medley relay team. He swam a personal best in the 200 free at 1:53.04. He took first in the 100 backstroke at 54.24, which was three seconds better than the second place swimmer.

Madeline Waldt, Saint Michael's
Freshman l Abingdon, Md.

Freshman Madeline Waldt (Abingdon, Md.) won a pair of events among four top-three showings during a double dual meet split with Saint Lawrence and Wells on Saturday. She took the 500 freestyle (5:30.32) and 1,000 freestyle (11:18.07), led off for the runner-up 200 medley relay (1:58.78), and placed third in the 100 backstroke (1:07.44).

 

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Skyla Lang, Bentley (Fr., Interlaken, N.J.)
Lang won the 500 freestyle against Bridgewater State with a personal best time of 5:22.42 to win the race by more than 11 seconds and the 7th best time in the NE10 this season. She was 2nd in the 100 butterfly at 1:01.02, a season best for her.
 
Jessica Johnson, College of Staten Island (Jr., Staten Island, N.Y.)
Johnson's time of 27.72s in the 50-Yard Fly was the best in the conference this week and the junior continues to rank in the top five for the event this season.
 
William Kwan, College of Staten Island (So., Staten Island, N.Y.)
Kwan posted the best time in the conference in the 200-Yard IM this week at 2:02.17. He also has the fifth best time for the event in the conference on the season.
 
Alex Meek, Saint Michael's (So., Essex Junction, Vt.)
Meek won all three of his events in helping the Purple Knights sweep a double dual meet on Saturday from Saint Lawrence and Wells. He led off the opening event, for the victorious 200 medley relay (1:45.94), before capturing the 200 backstroke (2:10.73) and 50 freestyle (23.31).
