Falcons Earn First NCAA Trip


MANSFIELD, Mass. – NE10 Champion Bentley University has been selected to compete in the NCAA Division II Women's Lacrosse Championship, which will get underway with first round action on May 14.

The Falcons will be making their first-ever appearance in the NCAA Women's Lacrosse Championship following a record-breaking 12-2 campaign. Bentley captured its first-ever NE10 Championship on Sunday afternoon with a 9-8 victory over Adelphi. The Falcons were the top seed in the NE10 Northeast Division while the Panthers were the No. 3 seed in the Southwest Division. 

ECC Champion Roberts Wesleyan (13-1) was selected as the top seed and will host the three-team East Regional in Rochester, N.Y. No. 2 seed Mercy, the ECC Runner-up at 12-2 will face Bentley in the opening round on Friday at 12 p.m. The Redhawks will face the winner of the No. 2 vs. No. 3 matchup on Sunday at 12 p.m.

This year's field features four regions of three teams each. The four regional champions will be crowned on May 16 and then travel to Salem, Virginia for the National Semifinals and Finals on May 21 and 23.
