NE10 Player of the Week
Andrew Eng, Southern Connecticut

For the week, Eng slashed .368/.520/.1.105 as the Owls went 3-2, including a pair of wins in NE10 play, with seven RBI and nine runs scored. The highlight of the week was Eng's outing against Queens on Saturday, Apr. 2 in which he hit four home runs. In addition to becoming the first player in Southern Connecticut history to hit four home runs in a game, he is just the second player in NE10 Conference history to do it and the 32nd player in NCAA Division II history to accomplish the feat. The last NE10 player to homer four times in a game was Saint Anselm's Eric Kraut on Apr. 29, 1994 against Assumption.
NE10 Pitcher of the Week
Max Parker, Le Moyne
Junior | Pitcher | Manlius, N.Y.
Parker went the distance, tossing seven scoreless innings and striking out eight batters, while scattering just two hits and one walk, in his first appearance in 29 days in a 3-0 seven-inning victory over #12/29 Franklin Pierce on Sunday.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Dyrenson Wouters, Southern New Hampshire
Freshman | Infield | Oranjestad, Aruba
Wouters hit .429 (6-14) with four RBI and four runs scored, while putting together a .529/.500/1.029 slash line, during a 4-0 week for the Penmen. Wouters was 2-for-5 in Wednesday's 5-4, 10-inning, walk-off win over Saint Anselm and then again went 2-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored in a 14-6 victory over the Hawks on Thursday. He combined to go 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs scored and a walk in Sunday's doubleheader sweep of Saint Anselm.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
John Rizzo, Adelphi (So., P - Islip Terrace, N.Y.)
Recorded the first complete game of his collegiate career by tossing a two-hitter in nine innings of work. He flirted with a no-hitter for 5.1 innings in an 11-3 win over Saint Rose to open the four-game set Friday. Rizzo set a season-high with 10 strikeouts in the contest.
Jay Chiappetta, American Int'l (Gr., LHP - Trumbull, Conn.)
Chiapetta turned in a brilliant start for AIC at Bentley, earning the win by going seven strong frames while scattering nine hits and just two runs, with no walks and four strikeouts.
Cole Durkan, Assumption (Sr., OF - Worcester, Mass.)
Durkan batted .308 in four games this week, to go along with three home runs and 10 RBI. The first baseman began the week with a walkoff two-run home run to beat Bentley before hitting a home run against Southern Connecticut and Saint Michael's. In game one on Sunday against SMC, Durban drove in five, which included a three-run bomb in the fourth inning.
Liam Sears, Bentley (Gr., DH-1B - Springfield, Mass.)
In a 2-3 week, Sears had a .438/.545/.688 slash line with six runs scored and four RBI. His week included seven hits, two doubles, a triple, five walks and three stolen bases. In a four-game series against American International, the Falcons' leadoff hitter reached base 12 of 18 times, including eight straight at one point.
Wyatt Patchett, Le Moyne (So., RF - Geneva, N.Y.)
Patchett slashed .571/.571/1.571 with two home runs, one double, six RBI and three runs scored in Le Moyne's doubleheader sweep of #12/29 Franklin Pierce on Sunday. He went 3-for-4 with two home runs, five RBI and three runs scored as the Dolphins overcame a 7-0 deficit to win game one, 11-8. He went 1-for-3 with an RBI double in the first inning in a 3-0 victory in the nightcap.
Thomas Eletto, New Haven (Gr., OF/RHP - Locust Valley, N.Y.)
Eletto picked up a win in his only outing last week, throwing a 6.2 inning outing against the Pace Setters. The right hander had a perfect game going into the sixth inning, having thrown just 47 pitches through five innings. Overall, he allowed one earned run on three hits with a pair of strikeouts.
Robert Taylor, New Haven (Sr., OF - Wolcott, Conn.)
Taylor led the Chargers at the plate last week, finishing with six hits in 15 at bats for a .400 average while adding a .867 slugging percentage with half of his hits going for extra bases on a double and two home runs. He also drove in four runs as the Chargers went 3-1 against Pace. His best outing came in the first game of a Sunday doubleheader where he finished with three hits in five at bats, two of which were home runs, drove in four runs and scored three times.
Patrick Gleason, Pace (Sr., P - Valhalla, N.Y.)
Gleason earned a complete-game victory over No. 22 New Haven on Friday by a 6-2 margin. He threw nine innings and allowed just two unearned runs on two hits, while striking out six and walking five. Gleason added to his NE10-best ERA of 0.82 and moved to 4-0 on the mound this season for the Setters.
Tony Socci, Saint Rose (Sr., OF - Trumbull, Conn.)
Socci finished the week with two home runs and 10 RBI, while posting .467/.500/1.000 averages to help the Golden Knights split a four-game set at Adelphi. He began the weekend with a three-run homer in game one of the series on Friday, followed by another three-run shot in a 4-for-6, five RBI-effort in the Golden Knights 17-10 victory in the Sunday finale.
George Welch, Southern N.H. (Jr., P - Derry, N.H.)
Welch went 1-0 with a 1.59 ERA, as he allowed five runs - just one earned - on five hits, while striking out 10 and walking four, in 5.2 innings of Sunday's 12-5, game-one victory against Saint Anselm. A fielding error in the fifth allowed three runs - two unearned - to score, while two more unearned runs scored on a two-out error in the sixth.
