KEY MOMENTS

• Southern New Hampshire grabbed a 2-0 lead in the third inning on RBI singles by La Rocca and Schwartz.
• After the Penmen pushed across a run on a wild pitch in the top of the fifth, Le Moyne answered it in the home half on a Benji Ries solo home run to left that pulled the Dolphins within 3-1.
• Le Moyne sliced its deficit in half with one out in the sixth on a solo shot to left-center off the bat of Dewey Roden.
• SNHU went ahead, 4-2, in the top of the seventh when Rivera led off with a single to right, stole second, moved to third on a Moreno infield single and scored on an RBI base knock from La Rocca.
• Anibal came on and shut the door over the final three innings to preserve the victory.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Le Moyne Starter Eric Swienicki allowed two runs on four hits over four innings, while striking out four and walking three.
• Roden was 1-for-3 with an RBI, run scored, the home run and a walk.
• Ries finished 1-for-4 with an RBI, a run and the homer.

NOTES

• Southern New Hampshire, ranked 10th in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division II Top 25 and 13th in the Collegiate Baseball Division II Poll, has won 31 of its last 34.
• The 42 wins for the Penmen stand alone as the fifth most in a single season in program history.
• SNHU, which captures its third straight NCAA East Regional Championship, improves to 41-24 (.625) all-time in the NCAA postseason, including 3-0 against Le Moyne. The Penmen, who win the region for the fifth time (2012, 2018, 2021, 2022, 2023), also do so for the fourth time in the last five tournaments (no NCAA postseason was held in 2020 due to COVID-19).
• SNHU's five East Regional titles are the fourth most all-time. Previously known as the Northeast Region and New England Region, it has been won 15 times by the University of New Haven and seven times by Franklin Pierce. The win broke a tie with Adelphi University, which has won it on four occasions.
• The Penmen also become just the third program to win three straight East Regional Championships, joining New Haven (1977-80, 84-90) and Franklin Pierce (2006-08).
• This is only the second regional crown the Penmen have clinched on their home field, also doing so back in 2012.
• The Penmen better their record to 18-2 (.900) at home this season and are now 134-29 (.822) at Penmen Field since the beginning of the 2014 season.
• Southern New Hampshire now leads the all-time series with Le Moyne, 7-2, and has won six of the last seven, including three straight. SNHU is also 5-1 at home all-time against the Dolphins.
• Junior Cam Caraher (Plymouth, Mass.) had his 13-game hitting streak snapped, while freshman Dyrenson Wouters (Oranjestad, Aruba) saw his eight-game streak come to an end.

• The Penmen will await their seed for the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship, which begins June 3 at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, N.C..
