Five Student-Athletes Earn Baseball and Softball All-America Status

Adelphi's Lindsey Hibbs Named Ron Lenz Pitcher of the Year as NE10 Produces Five Baseball & Softball All-Americans. 


MANSFIELD, Mass. - The Northeast-10 Conference had five baseball and softball student-athletes from four institutions earn All-America honors this spring from the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) and the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA), led by Adelphi's Lindsey Hibbs as the D2CCA Ron Lenz Pitcher of the Year. 

Hibbs was named a D2CCA and NFCA First Team All-American after a record season as the Division II leader in strikeouts (397) and earned run average (0.67). She is joined as a NFCA All-American by Ashley Cangiano of Franklin Pierce as a Second Team honoree after a dominant season at the plate, leading the NE10 with a .444 batting average, 54 RBIs and 10 home runs. 

On the baseball side, three athletes earned D2CCA honors. Southern New Hampshire's Nick Schwartz was a Second Team selection after ranking in the top two in the NE10 in batting average (.399), RBIs (71), and home runs (13). He is joined by teammate Jeffrey Praml who posted the most wins on the mound in the NE10 with 11. American International's Josh Frometta was an Honorable Mention with a .389 batting average and .949 fielding percentage.
