NE10 Player of the Week

Macy Brown, New Haven
Sophomore | Outside Hitter | Cadillac, Mich.

Brown led New Haven's offense with 47 kills, an average of 3.92 per set in a 2-1 weekend at the Wildcat Regional Invitational, earning All-Tournament honors for the two-day event. The sophomore outside hitter saw her best performance of the season come in the final game of the weekend where she slammed 26 kills, matching her career-high set last year in her first collegiate match. In addition, she added 13 in the first game on Saturday against Holy Family, leading the Chargers hitting in both of those matches. Brown also led New Haven on the weekend 56 digs (4.67 per set) and six service aces. 

NE10 Libero of the Week

Jamie Yonker, Adelphi
Graduate Student | Defensive Specialist | Old Bethpage, N.Y.

With 5.36 digs per set, Yonker led the team with 59 total digs in a 2-1 weekend for Adelphi volleyball. Against all in-region competition, She collected 20+ in a win over Wilmington and 21 in a four-set loss to Jefferson. 

NE10 Setter of the Week

Sophia Leon-Tabor, New Haven
Sophomore | Setter | Fort Myers, Fla.

Leon-Tabor led New Haven to a 2-1 weekend at the Wildcat Regional Invitational with a doubleheader sweep of Holy Family and Wilmington in what was the Charger final in-season tournament of the year. The sophomore setter averaged 10.5 assists per set, finishing the three-match weekend with 126 total, including a career-high of 61 in a five-set win over the host Wildcats. In addition, she added three kills, one in each match, 29 digs and three blocks. Among her 29 assists was 16 against Wilmington as she completed her second double double of the season.

NE10 Rookie of the Week

Macarty McQueen, Adelphi
Freshman | Outside Hitter | Carmel, Ind.

In a 2-1 week for Adelphi volleyball, McQueen was responsible for 2.64 kills and 3.00 digs per set, totaling 29 kills. She notched one double-double in a four-set win over Wilmington, accounting for 10 kills and 16. digs.

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Lilyen McCarthy, Adelphi (So., MB - Mackinaw, Ill.)
McCarthy led the Panthers in kills in all three matches this weekend, helping Adelphi finish 2-1 at the Wildcat Regional Invite. She posted 4.09 kills per set with an impressive .371 hitting percentage. She also added just under one block per set with three solo blocks. Through 11 matches she totaled 45 kills, with 11 digs. 

Brenna Valsted, Adelphi (Sr, S - Louisville, Kent.)
Valsted paced the offense this weekend as the Adelphi University volleyball team put up a 2-1 week against regional competition. She was responsible for nearly 100 assists at 9.60 per set (10 sets), while also adding 19 digs and 19 kills. Against Jefferson, Valsted nearly notched a triple-double as she posted a stat line of 42 assists, 10 digs and nine kills.

Naomi Eckert Rivera, American Int'l (Sr, S - Toa Baja, Puerto Rico)
AIC's star setter once again dominated the floor at the IVHOF East Region Clash. She helped AIC win the tournament with a weekend-best 143 assists, while also contributing 49 digs. Her play earned her a spot on the All-Tournament Team. Eckert Rivera leads the NE10 with 10.00 assists per set.

Andrea Serra Rosa, American Int'l (Gr., OH - Toa Alta, Puerto Rico)
The two-time reigning East Region and NE10 Player of the Year helped AIC sweep the IVHOF East Region Clash with a tournament-best 49 kills and also added 34 digs and 6 blocks. She was not only named to the All-Tournament Team, but she also set AIC's career kills record, which now stands at 1595 and counting after her 19 in the finale against Saint Anselm.

Alexis Distasio, Assumption (So., OH - Orlando, Fla.)
Recorded 21 kills in Assumption's 3-2 win over Saint Michaels. The sophomore ranks second in the NE10 with 0.85 service aces per set and third in kills per set (3.46).

Jazzy Burke, Bentley (So., DS - Lake George, N.Y.)
During a 3-1 weekend during AIC's International Volleyball Hall of Fame Clash, Burke totaled 49 digs, an average of 4.08 per set. She also averaged 1.08 assists and 0.50 aces, and had a .985 reception percentage with only one error in 68 attempts. Burke had 17 digs against Molloy and 14 against Bridgeport, both three-set matches, and two aces three times. 

Georgette Cosentino, Pace (So, S - Scarsdale, N.Y.)
Cosentino piled up a pair of double-doubles for the Setters during their 1-1 stretch last week. The sophomore finished with totals of 72 assists and 27 digs, while also chipping in five total blocks. Cosentino currently ranks fourth in the NE10 in assists per set this season (8.19). 

Brielle Jones, Pace (Sr., OH - Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.)
Jones led the Setters' attack during their 1-1 stretch last week. While finishing with a .329 hitting percentage, she racked up 33 kills in eight sets of action. Jones was especially impressive against Chestnut Hill College when she piled up 22 kills on a red-hot .340 hitting percentage. She also chipped in 10 digs and three aces during the week. 

Alexandra Báez Rentas, St. Michael's (So., S - San Juan, Puerto Rico)
Báez Rentas averaged 8.12 assists and 3.75 digs per set during an 0-2 week. In a 3-0 loss to 2021 NCAA Division III Tournament qualifier Middlebury on Tuesday, she totaled 17 assists, eight digs, three kills and one ace before registering 48 assists, 22 digs, four kills, one ace and one block in a 3-2 loss to Assumption on Saturday. 

Heliceliz Rivera, Southern Connecticut (Gr., S - Corozal, Puerto Rico)
Rivera appeared in all four matches for the Owls and posted the sixth triple-double in program history and the first since 2016 in a comeback win over Queens on Sept. 10. Rivera finished with 12 kills, 13 assists, and 10 digs as well as two service aces. The second-year Owl had a break-out weekend to lead Southern to a pair of wins this weekend after they defeated Le Moyne on Sept. 9. She finished the week with 28 kills, 35 digs, fours service aces, and seven blocks.
