Panthers Earn No. 1 Seed for Fifth Straight Year

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Adelphi won 15 of its final 16 conference games to claim the top seed in the Northeast-10 Softball Championship, which is set to begin with first round action on Tuesday afternoon.

The Panthers claimed the regular season title with a 22-4 NE10 record and took home the top seed. It marks the fifth straight year that Adelphi has earned a No. 1 seed for the NE10 Championship. The previous four No. 1 seeds were earned as the Southwest Division Champion, as the NE10 played in two divisions from 2013-2021. This year the Panthers were dominant, leading the NE10 with a 1.03 ERA as a team and ranking third with a .292 batting average.

All contests may be impacted by the conference's COVID-19 protocols, but no bracket adjustments will be made after Tuesday evening. If a team is not available to play, it will be recorded as a "No Contest" and their opponent will advance to the next round.
