NE10 Player of the Week

Abby Remick, Stonehill
Senior | Outside Hitter | Chepachet, R.I.

Remick averaged 3.40 kills, 0.40 service aces, 3.50 digs and 0.30 blocks per set in a 3-0 week for the Skyhawks as they posted wins over Bentley, Saint Anselm and American International. She opened the week with a double-double of ten kills and ten digs, with a service ace and block assist in Tuesday's 3-0 win over rival Bentley in a non-conference clash. Followed that up with nine kills, two aces, eight digs and a block assist in Thursday's 3-0 sweep of Saint Anselm. She closed the week out with another double-double, with 15 kills and 17 digs, with an ace and block assist in Saturday's 3-1 win at American International to open NE10 play.

NE10 Libero of the Week

Jamie Yonker, Adelphi
Senior | Libero | Old Bethpage, N.Y.

Yonker collected 58 digs in a 2-1 week for Adelphi volleyball, averaging 5.27 digs per set. Additionally she added .82 assists per set, adding nine through three matches. Yonker had double-digit digs in each of Adelphi's three matches, including 23 in a five-set loss to Molloy. In three-set wins over Queens (NY) and Le Moyne, she tallied 18 and 17 digs, respectively. 

NE10 Setter of the Week

Sophia Leon-Tabor, New Haven
Freshman | Setter | Fort Myers, Fla.

Leon-Tabor led the Chargers to a 2-0 start in NE10 play as the her team hit over .300 for the week and combined for 71 total kills in wins over AIC and Saint Rose. For the week, she finished with 80 total assists, for an average of 11.43 per set, opening up the week with 48 against the Yellow Jackets and adding 32 more against Saint Rose. She also finished with 20 total digs, including 11 against the Golden Knights for a double double. The rookie setter also added a pair of blocks and an assists in the first match of the week against AIC.

NE10 Rookie of the Week

Sophia Leon-Tabor, New Haven
Freshman | Setter | Fort Myers, Fla.

Leon-Tabor led the Chargers to a 2-0 start in NE10 play as the her team hit over .300 for the week and combined for 71 total kills in wins over AIC and Saint Rose. For the week, she finished with 80 total assists, for an average of 11.43 per set, opening up the week with 48 against the Yellow Jackets and adding 32 more against Saint Rose. She also finished with 20 total digs, including 11 against the Golden Knights for a double-double. The rookie setter also added a pair of blocks and an assists in the first match of the week against AIC.

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Kambel Fiser, Adelphi (Fr., S - Seattle, WA)
In a 2-1 week for Adelphi volleyball, Fiser paced the offense, totaling 90 assists with 9.00 assists per set. She notched one double-double in a five-set loss to Molloy, while also hitting .462 with seven kills against the Lions. For the week she was responsible for 3.20 digs/set. 

Ellie Wheeler, Bentley (So., OH/RS - Olathe, Kan.)
During a 1-1 week, Wheeler hit .328 while averaging 4.3 kills, 4.5 digs and 4.9 points. She was outstanding as the Falcons swept Southern New Hampshire in their NE10 opener, finishing with 13 kills, a .387 hitting percentage, 18 digs, four blocks and an ace. In that match, she established new career bests in hitting, digs and blocks. Wheeler also had 13 kills, nine digs and a .267 hitting percentage in a three-set loss at Stonehill earlier in the week. Her totals included 26 kills and 27 digs.

Morgan Schmutzler, Franklin Pierce (So., L - Lockport, Ill.)
Schmutzler put forth a 19-dig effort with a 6.33 dig per set percentage against Saint Michael's last week. She also tallied eight assists and one ace.

Jessica Akiona, New Haven (Sr., RS - Kapolei, Hawaii)
Akiona finished with double-digit kills in each of the Chargers two matches last week as they opened conference play 2-0 on the year. She opened the week hitting .400 against American International with 14 kills and just two errors in 30 attempts against the Yellow Jackets. She also added 15 digs for a double-double, while chipping in a pair of block assists. In the final match of the week, she finished with 10 kills and nine digs against Saint Rose.

Michelle Henwood, Saint Anselm (Jr, S - Guaynabo, Puerto Rico)
In just two matches this week, Henwood had 47 assists (7.83/set). She started the week with 25 against Southern New Hampshire before adding 22 against Stonehill. To aid her stat line, she had a total of 20 digs and six kills. Against the Penmen, the junior posted a double-double with 25 assists and 11 digs.

Taylor Jones, Southern Conn. St. (So, S - Middletown, N.Y.)  
Jones helped the Owls to a 2-1 week including a 3-0 victory over Pace in their conference opener. She collected 99 assists through nine sets played averaging 11.00 assists per set. She also picked up 16 digs, five blocks, and two service aces. She recorded 38 assists (12.67 assists per set), three digs, one service ace, one block against Pace. Jones recorded her third 40-plus assist game this season and third double-double with 40 assists and 10 digs in their win against Daemen. She tallied 21 assists, three digs, and two blocks in their loss to Molloy.

Juliana Pacini, Southern N.H. (Jr., OH - Sao Paulo, Brazil)
Pacini tallied 23 kills (3.83 k/s), two aces and 16 digs (2.67 d/s) during an 0-2 week for the Penmen. Pacini recorded 10 kills and five digs in Tuesday's 3-0 loss to Saint Anselm and then posted a double-double of 13 kills and 11 digs in a 3-0 defeat versus Bentley on Saturday.

Deanne Wilson, Southern N.H. (Fr., DS - Buffalo, N.Y.)
Wilson collected 41 digs (6.83 d/s) and three aces during an 0-2 week for SNHU. Wilson recorded 18 digs in Tuesday's three-set loss to Saint Anselm and then tallied 23 digs and two aces in a 3-0 defeat against Bentley on Saturday.

Carly Russell, Stonehill (Sr, DS/L - Warrensburg, Mo.)
Russell averaged 3.90 digs and 0.30 service aces as the Skyhawks posted a 3-0 week with wins over Bentley, Saint Anselm and American International. She totaled 12 digs in Tuesday's 3-0 win over Bentley and added 15 digs and an ace in Thursday's 3-0 win over Saint Anselm. Capped the week with 12 digs and three aces in Saturday's 3-1 win at AIC.

Lauren Wilke, Stonehill (Sr, S - Blue Point, N.Y.)
Wilke dished out 5.80 assists per set, while also contributing 1.00 kills, 0.30 service aces, 2.60 digs and 0.50 blocks on a 3-0 week for the Skyhawks that included wins over Bentley, Saint Anselm and American International. She opened with 18 assists, two kills, two aces, five digs and a block assist in Tuesday's 3-0 win over Bentley. Posted back to back double-doubles in wins over Saint Anselm and AIC, starting with 17 assists and ten digs, with five kills, an ace and three blocks against the Hawks. Followed with 23 assists and 11 digs, with three kills and a block assist in Saturday night's 3-1 win over AIC.
