NE10 Player of the Week

Andrea Serra-Rosa, American International
Graduate Student | Outside Hitter | Toa Alta, P.R.

Serra-Rosa has her best match of the season this week against Southern Connecticut, where she had 32 kills with only five errors and hit an impressive .386 for the match. On the week she averaged 5.64 kills per set with a .357 hitting percentage, 3.82 digs per set and scored a whopping 70 points on the week. Additionally she hit .200 or better in every match including an impressive .583 against Pace when she only had one error, in a 4-0 week for the Yellow Jackets.

NE10 Libero of the Week

Carly Russell, Stonehill
Senior | Defensive Specialist | Warrensburg, Mo.

Russell averaged 5.22 digs and 0.22 service aces per set in a 2-0 week for the Skyhawks as they extended their win streak to seven matches. She totaled 20 digs and dished out eight assists in Tuesday's 3-1 win at Southern Connecticut State. Russell also recorded 27 digs, two service aces and an assist in Saturday's comeback from two sets down for a 3-2 win at Franklin Pierce on Saturday. 

NE10 Setter of the Week

Naomi Eckert-Rivera, American International
Sophomore | Setter | Toa Baja, P.R.

Eckert-Rivera continues to have performances that elevate her as one of the best setters in the East Region. As AIC went 4-0 this week, Eckert-Rivera averaged 13.54 assists per set while also digging 3.38 balls per set. She also recorded five blocks and six kills on the week. In a 3-1 win over Southern Connecticut, Eckert-Rivera posted 57 assists and 16 digs. 

NE10 Rookie of the Week

Ulrika Blomgren, American International
Freshman | Outside Hitter | Sollentuna, Sweden

Blomgren continued to shine as the Yellow Jackets went 4-0 on the week. In 11 sets she averaged 3.45 kills per set with a .364 hitting percentage. She also contributed 2.73 digs per set while scoring 42 points on the week. 

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Amanda Rodriguez, American Int'l (Jr, LB - Miami, Fla.)
Rodriguez had a big week as the Yellow Jackets tallied a 4-0 record. In 11 sets, she averaged 4.91 digs per set - including 5.75 in conference matches. In three of the four matches this week she averaged 4.0 digs per set with the only outlier being 3.5 digs per set. In addition to her defensive stats she also recorded 1.36 assists per set. Rodriguez's 19 digs against Saint Rose (6.33 digs per set) were a personal-best for her this week.

Barbara Illig, Assumption (Fr., DS - Delaware, OH)
Illig recorded 38 total digs in a 1-1 week for the Greyhounds. She recorded 18 digs in a 3-1 setback at SNHU and a team-leading 20 digs in a 3-1 victory over Adelphi on Saturday. She averaged 4.75 digs per set. 

Morgan Schmutzler, Franklin Pierce (So., L - Lockport, Ill.)
Schmutzler recorded 45 digs, five aces and five assists across two matches last week. The junior registered 28 digs, averaging 7.00 digs per set, adding three assists and three aces on the night, and collecting 3.0 points in the 3-1 win over Bentley. Against Stonehill, she averaged 3.40 digs per set on 17 digs. She also dished out two assists and had two service aces.

Emily Barry, New Haven (Jr, OH - Freeport, N.Y.)
The junior outside hitter led the Chargers in a pair of three-set sweeps this past week, racking up 24 kills among a .310 attack percentage with those hammers coming on 58 attempts with just six miscues. The Freeport, N.Y. native opened up the week with 10 kills in a non-conference win over Caldwell and closed out the two-match week with 14 kills as the Blue and Gold improved to 3-0 in NE10 play against Le Moyne. In addition to the 24 kills, Barry finished with 25 digs, including 16 against Caldwell to complete the double double. Barry also finished the week with four blocks, two in each match, and a service ace which came against Caldwell.

Caroline Belmontez, Saint Anselm (Jr, DS - San Diego, Calif.)
Belmontez registered a season-high 27 digs in the win over Bridgeport. Belmontez posted a match-high eight service aces and recorded eight assists. The junior averaged 5.40 digs per set in the five set win. 

Lauren Casey, Saint Anselm (Jr, OH - Jefferson City, Mo.)
Casey hit at .333 hitting percentage against Bridgeport in a 3-2 win, while averaging 3.40 kills per set. Casey totaled 17 kills on 39 swings and added 10 digs to earn a double-double. Casey also had one assist and one assisted block in the five-set victory.

Krishnalei So'oto, Southern Conn. St. (So, L - Oceanside, Calif.)
So'oto played in all 15 sets for Southern's four matches and totaled 65 digs (4.33 per set), 11 assists, and eight eight service aces. Against Wilmington, she had her third 20-dig game of the season, while she also recorded a career-high in service aces against Stonehill with four. 

Juliana Pacini, Southern N.H. (Jr., OH - Sao Paulo, Brazil)
Pacini recorded 17 kills, three aces and 12 digs in Tuesday's 3-1 victory against Assumption, as the Penmen finished the week 1-0.

Basia Peragine, Stonehill (Jr, OH/RS - Savannah, Ga.)
Peragine averaged 3.56 kills with a .280 hitting percentage in a 2-0 week as the Skyhawks extended their winning streak to seven matches. She also averaged 1.33 digs and 0.11 blocks per set, while scoring 33 points for Stonehill for the week. She recorded a season-high 21 kills and hit .370 in Stonehill's comeback from two sets down at Franklin Pierce on Saturday for a 3-2 win, adding seven digs and a solo block. Peragine also contributed 11 kills and five digs in Tuesday's non-conference win at Southern Connecticut State.

Lauren Wilke, Stonehill (Sr, S - Blue Point, N.Y.)
Wilke averaged 10.67 assists, 3.56 digs, 0.11 service aces and 0.33 blocks per set in a 2-0 week as the Skyhawks extended their winning streak to seven matches. She posted a pair of double-doubles for the week, including 55 assists and 13 digs, with two block assists in Saturday's comeback from two sets down for a 3-2 win at Franklin Pierce. Wilke totaled 41 assists and 19 digs, with three kills, an ace and block assist in Tuesday's non-conference win at Southern Connecticut State.
