NE10 Player of the Week

Emily Barry, New Haven
Junior | Outside Hitter | Freeport, N.Y.

Barry led New Haven in a 1-1 week, racking up 36 kills for an average of 3.6 per set. She finished the week hitting .262 overall, including a .314 clip in a five-setter against SCSU. Barry closed out each of the matches this week, both five sets, with 18 kills, while striking just a pair of errors in the opener against Southern Connecticut. Barry also finished the week with 31 digs, closing out both matches with a double-double, including 18 digs against the Owls.

NE10 Libero of the Week

Barbara Illig, Assumption
Freshman | Libero | Delaware, Ohio

Despite an 0-2 week for Assumption, Illig had two huge performances - recording 27 digs in three sets (9.00/set) against Stonehill and 28 digs in four sets (7.00/set) against Southern Connecticut - to lead the defensive effort for the Greyhounds. Illig averaged 7.86 digs per set, while adding a kill and service ace. 

NE10 Setter of the Week

Taylor Jones, Southern Connecticut
Sophomore | Setter | Middletown, N.Y.

Jones was extraordinary in a 2-0 week for the Owls. She registered 109 assists (12.11 assists per set) in nine sets along with 19 digs, six kills, four service aces, and a block. She picked up a double-double of 52 assists and 11 digs, and three kills in the Owls come-from-two-sets-behind victory over New Haven. She followed that performance up by breaking a single-game program record in assists with 57 against Assumption to go along with eight digs, three service aces, and three kills. 

NE10 Rookie of the Week

Taylor Jones, Southern Connecticut
Sophomore (Freshman Eligibility) | Setter | Middletown, N.Y.

Jones was extraordinary in a 2-0 week for the Owls. She registered 109 assists (12.11 assists per set) in nine sets along with 19 digs, six kills, four service aces, and a block. She picked up a double-double of 52 assists and 11 digs, and three kills in the Owls come-from-two-sets-behind victory over New Haven. She followed that performance up by breaking a single-game program record in assists with 57 against Assumption to go along with eight digs, three service aces, and three kills. 

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll 

Jamie Yonker, Adelphi (Sr., L - Old Bethpage, N.Y.)
Yonker recorded double-digit digs in both matches this week for Adelphi, through seven sets. She averaged 5.71 digs per set, totaling 40 overall. Her best game came in a 3-1 victory over SNHU, where she notched 6.75 digs per set while adding a kills and six assists. 

Jazzy Burke, Bentley (Fr., DS - Lake George, N.Y.)
In three matches, Burke totaled 63 digs, an average of 5.25 per set, and five aces. She finished with 25 digs against Bridgeport, 23 against Stonehill and 15 against American International.

Ingrid Murphy, Bentley (Jr., OH/DS - Cotuit, Mass.)
Despite three losses, Murphy had an impressive week for the Falcons, averaging 3.50 kills, 0.92 aces, 4.17 digs, 0.25 blocks and 4.54 points. She came within one ace of a triple-double in a five-set loss to Bridgeport, finishing with 17 kills, 24 digs, 26 points and nine aces. She also had double-doubles against Stonehill (13 kills, 12 digs) and American International (12 kills, 14 digs). In the three matches, she hit .218, had a .944 serve percentage and a .935 serve receive percentage.

Mariah Robles, Franklin Pierce (Jr., RS - West Covina, Calif.)
Robles averaged 3.33 kills and 2.00 digs per set in a 2-0 weekend for the Ravens. She went for 10 kills and hit .333 in a sweep of Adelphi on Friday night and fired off 10 more kills and added 11 digs to complete a double-double in Saturday's sweep of Pace. Served up a pair of aces along the way.

Sophia Leon-Tabor, New Haven (Fr., S - Fort Myers, Fla.)
Leon-Tabor finished both matches in a 1-1 week with 50+ assists, racking up 102 total, while along the way securing her 1,000th assist of the season. The rookie also finished the two-match week with 26 digs, putting up double figures in each match. As the primary setter, Leon-Tabor led her team to a .254 hitting percentage over 10 sets against SCSU and Stonehill. 

Michelle Henwood, Saint Anselm (Jr, S - Guaynabo, Puerto Rico)
Henwood threw up 65 assists in the two Hawks wins. She opened the weekend with 30 assists against Saint Rose before adding 35 in the win over Le Moyne. Henwood added eight kills to the Hawks offense and 15 digs for the defense. 

Abigail Epstein, Southern Connecticut (Gr., MH - Crystal River, Fla.)
Epstein had a solid week for SCSU in a 2-0 week. She hit for .417 with 32 kills (3.56 k/s), nine digs, seven blocks, and five service aces. She chipped in 41.5 points for the Owls and made just two errors in 72 attempts. She recorded 17 kills with a .405 hitting percentage and chipped in four blocks, four digs, and a service ace, while making no errors in the Owls comeback win over New Haven. She followed that up with a .433 hitting percentage, 15 kills, four service aces, and four blocks in the Owls win over Assumption.

Deanne Wilson, Southern N.H. (Fr., DS - Buffalo, N.Y.)
Wilson posted 34 digs (4.86 d/s) and eight assists (1.14 a/s) during the 1-1 week for the Penmen. Wilson recorded 11 digs and five helpers in Friday's 3-0 triumph over Pace, before collecting 23 digs and handing out three assists in Saturday's 3-1 loss to Adelphi.

Carly Russell, Stonehill (Sr, DS/L - Warrensburg, Mo.)
Russell averaged 5.92 digs and 0.25 service aces per set in a 2-1 week for the Skyhawks. She also chipped in with 13 assists over her 12 sets played for the week. Russell totaled 23 digs, five assists and an ace in Stonehill's 3-0 win over Assumption to start the week. She matched her career-high with 31 digs with three assists and an ace in Friday night's 3-1 win at rival Bentley and followed with 17 digs, five assists and an ace against New Haven on Saturday.
