NE10 Player of the Week

Macy Brown, New Haven
Freshman | Outside Hitter/Defensive Specialist | Cadillac, Mich. 

A true freshman, Brown finished a 2-0 week for the Chargers with 37 kills, an average of 4.11 per set across nine total sets. She also added 33 digs, finishing both matches with a double double. She opened up the week with 15 kills and 15 digs in a four-set road win at Adelphi and capped the week off with 22 kills and 18 digs in a five-set win over SNHU. She also added four service aces, three of which came against the Penmen. 

NE10 Libero of the Week

Barbara Illig, Assumption
Freshman | Libero | Delaware, Ohio

Illig was the standout libero in a 1-1 week for the Greyhounds. She notched 20 digs in a 3-0 loss at Bentley and put up 22 more in a 3-0 victory over Pace on Friday night. She finished the week with 42 digs, averaging seven digs per set. 

NE10 Setter of the Week

Amanda Parker, Bentley
Senior | Setter | St. Charles, Ill.

Parker directed Bentley to a 3-0 week by providing 110 assists (11.0 assists per set), 27 digs, six blocks and four aces in ten sets. She had 42 assists in three sets against Saint Rose, 35 in three at Assumption and 33 in a four-setter against Le Moyne. 

NE10 Rookie of the Week

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Naomi Eckert-Rivera, American Int'l (So, S - Toa Baja, P.R.)
Eckert-Rivera has been a key member of the Yellow Jackets' success on their 12 match winning streak. This past week she averaged 11.33 assists per set and 2.0 digs per set.

Amanda Rodriguez, American Int'l (Jr, LB - Miami, Fla.)
Rodriguez has been a huge contributor to the Yellow Jackets' 12-match winning streak. In two matches she averaged 5.20 digs per set and 0.80 assists per set. 

Jazzy Burke, Bentley (Fr., DS - Lake George, N.Y., 4)
Bentley's libero made 51 digs during a 3-0 week, an average of 5.1 per set. She had 17 at Assumption, 19 against Saint Rose and 15 against Le Moyne. She also had two aces during the week, as well as a .943 reception percentage. In the Le Moyne match, she handled 30 of 30 serve receptions. 

Ellie Wheeler, Bentley (So., OH - Olathe, Kan.)
Wheeler, the NE10 leader in average kills, totaled 31 kills, 23 digs, two blocks, two aces and 35.5 points during four-set victories over Assumption and Southern Connecticut. She had 14 kills at Assumption and gave Bentley a 17-point, 15-assist double-double against the Owls. In the two matches, she hit .316 while averaging 3.88 kills, 2.88 digs, 0.38 blocks and 4.4 points.

Sophia Leon-Tabor, New Haven (Fr., S - Fort Myers, Fla.)
A true freshman setter, Leon-Tabor led the Chargers to their 11th and 12th straight wins and to a perfect record in the NE10 with a four-set win over Adelphi and a five-set win over SNHU, both of those victories coming on the road. The rookie helped New Haven's hitters to a combined .225 hitting percentage across the nine-sets with 117 total kills, including four of her own which came against the Penmen. All combined, Leon-Tabor collected 91 assists for an average of 10.11 per set. She also added three aces and a block, while finishing each match with a double double adding 17 digs against Adelphi and 13 more against SNHU.

Brielle Jones, Pace (Jr., OH - Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.)
Jones averaged nearly five kills per set for the Setters in two matches last week. She was especially stellar in a five-setter against Bridgeport when she racked up a career-high 28 kills on a .281 hitting percentage. She also totaled seven digs and a pair of service aces versus the Purple Knights.

Lauren Casey, Saint Anselm (Jr., OH - Jefferson City, Mo.)
Casey posted a double-double in the Hawks 3-2 win over Stonehill. Casey led the offense with 13 kills and added 20 digs in the five-set win. The junior also added seven service aces, averaging 1.40 per set. Casey averaged 2.60 kills per set and 4.00 digs per set.

Taylor Jones, Southern Conn. St. (So, S - Middletown, N.Y.)
The rookie setter was solid in a 1-1 week for the Owls. She had 85 assists, good for 10.63 assists per set, and chipped in 28 digs, four service aces, three kills, and a block. She picked up double-doubles in both matches with 34 assists and 13 digs against Molloy and then recorded her fourth 50-assist game of the season with 51 assists and 15 digs against Franklin Pierce.

Dai Thawnghmung, Southern N.H. (Jr., OH - Lowell, Mass.)
Thawnghmung racked up 31 kills (3.88 k/s) on .357 hitting and added 17 digs (2.13 d/s) during a 1-1 week for the Penmen. Thawnghmung recorded 14 kills (.458) and six digs in Tuesday's 3-0 win at Saint Michael's, before matching her career high with 17 kills (.304) and collecting 11 digs in a five-set loss to New Haven on Saturday. 

Basia Peragine, Stonehill (Jr, OH/RS - Savannah, Ga.)
Peragine averaged 3.18 kills with a .286 hitting percentage, with 0.27 blocks per set and scoring 36.5 points in a 2-1 week for the Skyhawks. She reached double figures in kills in all three matches, starting with 15 at Saint Anselm on Tuesday, while adding two block assists and two digs. She added ten kills, with just one error for a .409 hitting percentage in Friday's 3-0 win over Le Moyne, adding five digs and two assists, and finished with 10 kills and four digs in Saturday's 3-0 win against Saint Rose.
