NE10 Player of the Week

Lauren Casey, Saint Anselm
Junior | Outside Hitter | Jefferson City, Mo.

Casey registered three double-doubles in the 2-1 week for Saint Anselm. She started the week with 12 kills and 13 digs against Assumption before setting a career-high with 26 kills against New Haven. To finish off the double-double against New Haven, Casey recorded 14 digs before closing the week with a 15 kill, 11 dig performance against Southern Connecticut State. Casey registered 53 kills for 4.42 per set and 38 digs for 3.17 per set. The junior was hitting at a 0.295 clip in the three matches. 

NE10 Libero of the Week

Carly Russell, Stonehill
Senior | Libero | Warrensburg, Mo.

Russell averaged 5.89 digs and 0.33 service aces per set in a 2-0 week for the Skyhawks. She tallied 28 digs, an ace and eight assists in Saturday afternoon's 3-2 win at Adelphi. Russell registered 25 digs, two aces and five assists in Friday night's 3-1 win at Pace.

NE10 Setter of the Week

Sara Montefameglio, Southern New Hampshire
Graduate Student | Setter | Turin, Italy

Montefameglio dished 89 assists (12.71 a/s) to go with 20 digs (2.85 d/s) and four blocks (0.57 b/s) during a 2-0 week for the Penmen. Montefameglio tallied 35 assists, seven digs and three blocks in a 3-0 shutout of Le Moyne on Friday, before handing out a career-best 54 helpers and collected 13 digs in Saturday's 3-1 victory over Saint Rose. For the week, Montefameglio assisted on 89 of SNHU's 105 kills (85%). 

NE10 Rookie of the Week

Ellie Wheeler, Bentley
Sophomore (Freshman Eligibility) | Outside Hitter/Right Side | Olathe, Kan.

During a 1-1 week, Wheeler produced 4.57 kills, 4.0 digs, 0.57 aces and 5.21 points per set while hitting .264. She recorded back-to-back double-doubles with 15 kills in a loss to Adelphi, 17 kills in a win at Pace and 14 digs in both matches. Her 17 kills against the Setters matched her career best and she also hit .500 in that match.

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Jamie Yonker, Adelphi (Sr., L - Old Bethpage, N.Y.)
In a three-match week for Adelphi, Jamie Yonker totaled 69 digs with 5.75 digs per set. She notched a week-best 7.50 digs per set in a four-set win over then #2 Bentley, accounting for 30 overall. She also added four assists in the Panthers' lone win of the week. 

Ulrika Blomgren, American Int'l (Fr., OH - Sollentuna, Sweden)
The Yellow Jackets kept rolling on their 14-match winning streak thanks in part to Blomgren. In two matches she averaged 3.67 kills per set, 4.17 digs per set all while swinging over .300. Additionally she had a pair of aces and a block.

Naomi Eckert-Rivera, American Int'l (So, S - Toa Baja, P.R.) 
Eckert-Rivera has been instrumental in the Yellow Jackets' current 14-match winning streak. The nation's leader in total assists had a great week for the Yellow Jackets. She averaged 12.67 assists per set and 2.17 digs per set while recording 0.67 aces per set, as AIC went 2-0 against Le Moyne and Assumption.

Barbara Illig, Assumption (Fr., L - Delaware, OH)
Illig led Assumption at Libero in a 0-2 week. She put up 44 total digs to go along with two aces and seven assists. Illig started the week with 20 digs at Saint Anselm and added 24 digs at AIC to finish the week averaging 7.33 digs per set.

Jessica Akiona, New Haven (Sr., RS - Kapolei, Hawaii)
Akiona led New Haven's hitters in a 1-1 week with a combined 33 kills and 16 digs, while hitting .409 total with just six errors in 66 attempts. She opened up the week with 18 kills and a double double adding 11 digs in a five-set match against Saint Anselm and then hit an impressive .583 in a sweep of St. Michael's, putting down 15 kills and adding five digs. She also combined for three total blocks, two against the Hawks and one more against the Purple Knights.

Sophia Leon-Tabor, New Haven (Fr., S - Fort Myers, Fla.)
A true freshman, Leon-Tabor averaged 11.8 assists per set last in a two-match week for the Chargers, while leading her team to a .279 hitting percentage as a team across the two matches combined. Overall, she finished with a career-high 60 assists in a five set match against Saint Anselm and added 34 more in a sweep of Saint Michael's. She also added 17 digs, including 10 against the Hawks for a doube-double, while securing four points on two service aces against each of the two teams.

Michelle Henwood, Saint Anselm (Jr, S - Guaynabo, Puerto Rico)
Henwood threw up 116 assists in the 2-1 week for Saint Anselm. She averaged 9.67 assists per set through 12 sets played. Against New Haven, Henwood recorded 55 assists, averaging 11.00 per set - a career-high for the junior co-captain.

Abigail Epstein, Southern Conn. St. (Gr., MH - Crystal River, Fla.)  
Epstein was solid for the Owls in a 3-0 week in conference play. The middle hit .397, picked up 33 kills, 21 digs, nine blocks, and two service aces, while accounting for 41 points.

Taylor Jones, Southern Conn. St. (So, S - Middletown, N.Y.)
Jones' playmaking abilities helped lead the Owls to a 3-0 week in conference play. She recorded 97 assists (10.78 per set), 19 digs, five service aces and five kills through nine sets played. She had 31 assists in their sweep over Adelphi, 22 in two sets against Saint Michael's, and 44 assists in four sets against Saint Anselm. 

Chiara Di Valerio, Southern N.H. (Fr., OH - Terni, Italy)
Di Valerio put together the best week of her young career, posting 30 kills (4.29 k/s) on .377 hitting, three aces (0.43 sa/s) and 20 digs (2.86 d/s), as the Penmen went 2-0 in a pair of road tilts. Di Valerio recorded a double-double of 12 kills (.355) and 12 digs in Friday night's 3-0 blanking of Le Moyne and then came back Saturday afternoon in a 3-1 win at Saint Rose with a career-high 18 kills (.395), two aces and eight digs.
