NE10 Offensive Player of the Week
Jayson Demild, American International
Redshirt-Junior | Quarterback | Sayreville, N.J.
It was another fantastic week for Demild, as the Yellow Jackets knocked off Franklin Pierce 38-19 to move to 3-0 for the first time since 2009. He went 15-24 passing with 300 yards in the air and four touchdowns for a 222.5 efficiently rating. Additionally he had nine rushes for 57 yards, including a 20-yard scramble.
NE10 Defensive Player of the Week
Cedie Dashiell II, Bentley
Senior | Defensive Lineman | Buena Park, Calif.
In a 24-14 win over Stonehill, Dashiell II was credited with seven tackles, 3.5 sacks and tackles for a loss, and both a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. He also had a pass breakup. His 3.5 sacks resulted in losses totaling 19 yards and extended his streak of games with at least one sack to eight. The Falcons limited the Skyhawks, the NE10's most prolific offensive team during the first two weeks, to 320 yards and two TDs.
NE10 Special Teams Player of the Week
Herve Tshibamba, Bentley
Sophomore | Defensive Lineman | Naugatuck, Conn.
Tshibamba had two blocked field goals in Bentley's 24-14 conference win over Stonehill, as well as four tackles, a QB hurry and a half-sack.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Drew Willoughby, Saint Anselm
Sophomore (Freshman Eligibility) | Quarterback | Austin, Texas
Willoughby threw for 330 yards against Southern Connecticut State last time out, throwing for three touchdowns while completing north of 61.7% of his passes. He also rushed home for the first touchdown of his career during his team's narrow three-point loss. He also pinned his lone punt inside the 20-yard line (31 yards). Willoughby ranks second in the NE10 with 260 yards per game, on average.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Jaysen Thompson, American Int'l (Sr, LB - South Hackensack, N.J.)
Once again Thompson led the Yellow Jackets with tackles as AIC beat Franklin Pierce to move to 3-0 for the first time since 2009. Thompson recorded17 total tackles, eight solo and nine assisted, including 3.5 tackles for a loss.
Khaleed Exum-Strong, Assumption (Sr., RB - Norwichtown, Conn.)
Exum-Strong led the Hounds on offense to a 32-21 NE10 victory over Pace on Saturday. He put up a total of 212 yards of offense including 189 rushing yards and 23 receiving yards. Exum-Strong carried the ball 17 times, averaging 11.1 yards per rush. His longest run was 49 yards. He made two catches for 23 yards gained, averaging 11.5 yards per catch. Exum-Strong scored two touchdowns in the win for the Greyhounds.
Carlton Aiken, Pace (Gr., QB - Gibbstown, N.J.)
Aiken accounted for 217 total yards and two touchdowns during the Setters' road loss at Assumption. He served as Pace's top rusher in the game, totaling 129 yards on 11 carries. Aiken's two touchdowns, one passing and one rushing, both came in the second quarter.
Anthony Brown, Saint Anselm (Jr, WR - Belton, Texas)
Brown had an all-around solid game for Saint Anselm, delivering on offense and special teams. Offensively, he reeled in nine catches for 154 yards against Southern Connecticut State - he scored two touchdowns, including a game-tying 51-yard score with under two minutes left. He also had a game-high kick return of 49 yards in the contest, posting 206 yards of all-around offense.
Justin Felder, Stonehill (Sr, RB - Hollis, N.Y.)
Scored both Skyhawk touchdowns at rival Bentley on Saturday, rushing the ball 26 times for 125 yards, while adding three receptions for another 14 to finish with a game-high 139 all-purpose yards. His six-yard touchdown late in the first quarter gave Stonehill a 7-3 lead and then he added a two yard scoring run in the fourth. He surpassed 100 rushing yards for the seventh-straight game and tenth time in his career overall.
