NE10 Offensive Player of the Week
Zach Mauro, New Haven
Graduate Student | Running Back | Woodbury, Conn.
The Chargers leading rusher on a rainy afternoon in West Haven, Mauro racked up 133 yards for his first career 100+ rushing performance adding a touchdown to his credit as well. The graduate running back, Mauro touched the ball 25 times for an average of 5.3 yards per carry and a long of 15 yards in an important 16-10 win over Assumption.
NE10 Defensive Player of the Week
Cole McCubrey, Bentley
Graduate Student | Linebacker | Boylston, Mass.
In a 24-14 win over Franklin Pierce that kept the 11th-ranked Falcons unbeaten, McCubrey was in on 15 tackles and also had two TFL, one strip sack and another forced fumble. Both forced fumbles resulted in Bentley scoring drives, a field goal that made it 3-0 and a field goal that made it 10-0.
NE10 Special Teams Player of the Week
Cade Torres, Pace
Freshman | Punter/Kicker | West Long Branch, N.J.
Torres was sensational punting the football on Saturday against Stonehill. The New Jersey native downed all four of his punts inside the 11 yard-line, while averaging 49.5 yards per attempt. He also hammered a monstrous 71-yard bomb in the second quarter.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Joe Rivers, Bentley
Sophomore | Defensive Line | Lunenburg, Mass.
Rivers had a career-high eight tackles, including two strip sacks for 16 yards, and a pass break-up as Bentley extended its winning streak to 13 with a 24-14 win over Franklin Pierce.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Isiah Tolbert, American Int'l (Sr., DL - Paterson, N.J.)
Tolbert had one of the most memorable defensive moments in AIC history on Saturday. In addition to his eight tackles, Tolbert forced two fumbles, including one that he scooped and ran for the 95-yard score in a 21-16 loss to Saint Anselm.
Khaleed Exum-Strong, Assumption (Sr., RB - Norwichtown, Conn.)
Exum-Strong led the Greyhounds offense in a 16-10 setback at New Haven on Saturday. He rushed 22 times for a total of 139 yards of offense. Exum-Strong finished the game averaging 6.3 yards per rush, with his longest carry being 43 yards. The running back also made one catch in the game for seven yards.
Isaiah Huff, Assumption (RS-Jr., DB - Windsor, Conn.)
Huff led the Greyhounds' special teams on Saturday with two kick returns for a total of 116 yards. He averaged 58 yards per return, with his longest being 86 yards.
Andrew Brazicki, Bentley (Gr., RB - Franklin Park, N.J., 22)
Brazicki rushed for 108 yards and two TDs in 18 carries during a 24-14 win over Franklin Pierce for the nationally-ranked and unbeaten Falcons. The TDs covered five and one yards. Brazicki also became only the eighth player in program history to amass 2,000 career rushing yards and moved to sixth on Bentley's all-time list.
EJ Burgess, Franklin Pierce (Jr., RB - Pearland, Texas)
Burgess rushed 27 times for 186 yards (6.9 yards per rush) and a touchdown in the Ravens' 24-14 loss at No. 11 Bentley on Saturday. Also caught two passes for 22 yards.
Khyon Fitzpatrick, New Haven (Jr, DB - Union, N.J.)
Fitzpatrick took control on a rainy afternoon in West Haven on Saturday, finishing a 16-10 win over Assumption with five total tackles, including one TFL, and a pair of interceptions that he returned a total of 12 yards. For the season, Fitzpatrick is now second on the team with 45 tackles and with his two interceptions, he now leads the team with three total.
Liam Flynn, Saint Anselm (Sr, LB - Hanover, Mass.)
Competing on Senior Day, Flynn had a well-rounded game for the Hawks - he helped a defensive unit that allowed just 38 yards to the AIC offense in the second half. He posted five tackles, including one for a loss of five yards, and also broke up one pass, logged a quarterback hurry, and recorded his first collegiate interception, returning it for 27 yards.
Vincent Wagner, Saint Anselm (Jr, RB - Staten Island, N.Y.)
Wagner led his team with 35 carries, reaching triple-digit rushing yards for the second consecutive game with a career-high 153 on the ground. The 35 rushing attempts for Wagner are tied for the third-most in any game by a Saint Anselm student-athlete.
Justin Felder, Stonehill (Sr, RB - Hollis, N.Y.)
Felder totaled 143 all-purpose yards to fuel the Skyhawks offense in Saturday's 19-8 victory at Pace. Rushed the ball 20 times for 87 yards and a touchdown that gave Stonehill a 9-0 lead in the first quarter and added two receptions for another 57 yards.
Michael Lockavitch, Stonehill (So, DE - Shelton, Mass.)
Key member of a Skyhawks defensive line that helped hold Pace to just 160 total yards (100 passing, 60 rushing) in Saturday's 19-8 victory. He posted a career-high five tackles (all solo), including a career-best 2.0 sacks for a loss of 14 yards, on the day.
