NE10 Offensive Player of the Week
Connor Degenhardt, New Haven
Graduate Student | Quarterback | Westford, Mass.
In a high-scoring affair for the Chargers, Deggenhardt was a part of five of New Haven's touchdowns, three of them passing and two rushing. He closed out the game 19-of-27 in pass attempts for 199 yards. He opened up the Chargers scoring with a pair of one-yard keepers to put the Chargers ahead 14-0. He then provided a 28-yard pass to his top receiver, Dev Holmes, for a third first half TD. In the second half, he added two more passing TDs on a short two-yarder and the final of the afternoon a 38-yard pass, his longest toss of the day, to his tight end.
NE10 Defensive Player of the Week
Nate Bresson, Stonehill
Fifth Year | Defensive End | Torrington, Conn.
Led the Skyhawks defense in Saturday's 25-0 shutout win at American International that yielded just 157 total yards, including -6 rushing, and forced five interceptions. Totaled a team-high six tackles (two solo), with 2.5 sacks in the win, giving him a league-high 7.5 sacks for the season.
NE10 Special Teams Player of the Week
Perry Shelbred, Stonehill
Junior | Kicker | Ridgefield, Conn.
Shelbred delivered four field goals, including a pair of 40-plus yard makes, to spur the Skyhawks 25-0 win at American International. He also averaged 26.5 yards on two punts, with a fair catch and pinning one inside the opponent's 20. His three field goals in the first half, including a career-best 49-yarder, gave Stonehill a 9-0 halftime lead on their way to the win. He finished the afternoon with field goals of 37, 49, 22 and 44 yards.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Christian Ais, New Haven
Freshman | Defensive Back | Stoughton, Mass.
Ais turned in an impressive defensive effort in a 56-7 win over Saint Anselm, accounting for two interceptions and 79 return yards - including a 63-yard pick six - to lead the Chargers to a win in their Homecoming game against the Hawks. He also contributed one tackle on Saturday.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Khaleed Exum-Strong, Assumption (Sr., RB - Norwichtown, Conn.)
Exum-Strong led the Hounds to a 26-0 victory over Southern Connecticut at home on Friday night. He finished the night with 152 yards of offense from 18 rushes. He averaged 8.4 yards per carry.
Andrew Brazicki, Bentley (Gr., RB - Franklin Park, N.J.)
In the Falcons' 26-0 shutout of Pace, Brazicki rushed for 99 yards on 17 carries, an average of 5.8 yards per rush - including a 17-yarder for a touchdown. The touchdown was the 21st of his career.
Matt Severance, Bentley (Jr., DB - Lynn, Mass.)
Severance had a team-high nine tackles and two pass break-ups as Bentley stayed unbeaten with a 26-0 shutout of Pace.
Briant DeFelice, New Haven (Sr, K - Massapequa, N.Y.)
The Chargers' place kicker, DeFelice finished a perfect 8-for-8 in point after attempts, while he also averaged 58.6 yards in nine kickoffs with just one of those going for a touchback.
Ryan Dolce, New Haven (Jr, CB - Union, NJ)
A junior cornerback for the Chargers, Dolce finished a 56-7 rout of Saint Anselm with six tackles and was a part of six interceptions for the New Haven defense. All six of his tackles were solo stops, while he returned his first interception of the season 50 yards to set up the Charger offense.
