Assumption Has NE10-High Three Named All-Americans
MANSFIELD, Mass. – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) released its list of 2021 All-Americans and the NE10 had 11 student-athletes represented, with five on the first team and six on the second team.
Assumption led all programs with three selections after advancing to the NCAA Semifinals this fall. NE10 Goalkeeper of the Year Kylie Gargiulo and NE10 Defensive Player of the Year Jenna Graf were named to the first team while Deirdre Burchill was selected to the second team. Adelphi & Saint Anselm each had a pair of honorees. Jackie Brown was named to the first team for the Panthers while Danielle Kempf earned second team honors. Carly LaCasse and Mackenzie McConnell were both selected to the second team for the Hawks.
Saint Michael's Jenna Puleo and Pace's Krista Dietz rounded out the first team honors. Raegan Hickey of Stonehill and Sam Simione were both named to the second team. The seven schools represented is the most since seven schools had All-Americans back in 2017.
